I'm new here (and to military modeling) and don't know how to attach images to messages - and couldn't find any help on it.
I plan to use 4, and maybe 5 kits:
Accurate Armour #K-171 - Cranes 40-ton Trailer Mk-1/2
Baluard Models #35032 - German Schienenwolf Wagon
Verlinden #2693 - Panzerwerk Bridge Crane
Dragon #9118 – Schwerer Plattformwagen Typ SSy
MiniArt #35554 – Goods Shed
I just ordered the trailer last night (after finally deciding that I don't really need a monster one), and Baluard supposedly produces all their kits to order, but I have the other three on hand.
The crane will be installed for rail to road transfer (or vice versa) near the goods shed, and the scenario is that the Schienenwolf has been given (post-war) to a local railway museum that doesn't have a rail connection to the mainline. It has been brought there on the SSy (I'm hoping it will fit), and is being rigged to the crane for trans-loading to the trailer (ditto).
I'm also hoping it will fit between the crane columns. If not, I'll think of something else to use for the cargo. The tractor has detached and will return once the load is on the trailer, as I won't have space for one in the scene.

The package I have been waiting for has finally arrived so as soon as I finish off the five campaigns that end at the end of this month I can get back on these.
You may wonder about the Chinese anti tank gun, well that kit has the engine I am going to use in the Maz-537G and the two PE sets are for the M1070 cab.
Cheers Rob.

Does anyone have a scanned copy of the instructions Real Model's M1070 CPK (35237) or know how I can get in direct contact with Miloslav Hraban?
Got my set a few months ago but it didn't come with the instructions.
I've tried searching for him here on Armorama but for some reason Google keeps blocking me, claiming that the site is a source computer attacks. So I have to enter the site kind of sideways.
Many thanks

All,
Well I've finally plucked up the courage to have a bash at a Campaign, so after a lot of I've finally settled on a victim to try and emulate in scale , just squeaks in regards to the min weight.
Anywho, this is my starting point:
Scale is 1:50th, pretty much the only parts I'll be using will be the guards, grille, bonnet, cab and wheels - even these parts are going to receive some serious abuse (modification).
Time to breakout the screwdrivers and paint stripper.
Some impressive builds going on here, keep up the good work.

And for those wondering what a bright yellow truck has to do with Tank Transporters - here's what it will hopefully look something like at the end:
and if anyone's curious, it's a White 920 - Truck, 18-ton, 6x4, Tank Carrier .
Since mil veh's aren't really my area of interest I'll most likely be asking some fairly basic questions soon i.e. area of operation, colour scheme etc. etc.

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and only returning to model building after about a 35-40 year absence. I've been lurking on this site for a while but take this campaign as a sign that it is time to jump in. While in the Marine Corps I drove an M-123A1C in Okinawa with the 3rd Combat Engineer Bn. I've been getting nostalgic in my old age and purchased the Tank Workshop 10 ton tractor a while ago but have yet to start construction. Since nobody makes an M-172 trailer I have gone through the archives checking out the excellent scratch built trailers that have been built over the years by a number of members and am about ready to give it a shot. I will greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can give me regarding plans, building techniques or other suggestions to make my first attempt at scratch building a success.

all,
finally got chance to make a small start on my little project (White 920 Tank Carrier). Paint stripped and had hoped to braze some brass filler's in where the big ugly door and bonnet hinges are and replace them with more in scale items but unfortunately this metal mix won't braze, so it's going to have be Plan B or C (brass or plastic epoxied in ).
Thought it best to tackle the cab area first then move onto the scratch chassis and deck.
Time to grab the files and reshape the radiator surround and top panels of the bonnet.
Hope everyones projects are progressing as planned

Just been looking through all the builds and I need to start making some headway with mine but all look really great so far! I have been considering tackling a panzer IV as the load but may not have time. Anyway there will hopefully be some progress soon!

Hi, heavy equipment haulers,
Has any of you a confirmation of the combination Fransika SLT 56 with a MLRS, both in Nato olive? I want to finish my Dragon MLRS and Trumpeter Fransika in the end of the 80-s finish.
Thanks in advance,

Paul,
I can find them both in Nato colors just not together, but I can not see why that would not have been the case. They must have transported one at some time.
Cheers Rob.
