Well, it's Matilda update time.
I made a small mistake here. On the inside of the armor skirts, I glued the return rollers on upside down. I managed to pry them off without too much damage though, and here they are on the right way:
Just goes to show that dryfitting is very important- I only realized my mistake when the part wasn't completely flush with the hull.
Ready for paint!
First coat of primer. Realized at this point that I'd forgotten what I assume to be the rearview mirror. Now all I can do is wait for an order of paint to arrive and work on the figure.

Miniflea - That Matilda rocks already right out of the box. I like all those little bolts Tamiya put on there.
Jeff T - Good idea to do more wheels. In fact, everytime I see your name now I want to start building a Puma
Chris - What pe set are you getting? I thought the HB kit comes with all the (needed) pe. The 105 is a great Sherman, so enjoy the build

Beautiful Matilta considering the scale. I would have thought at least 1/35 given the crisp detail. Easy know this is my first foray into 1/48

Hi Chris - it's all up to you. If you have crew in the hatches I wouldn't do any interior. But I'm all about getting builds done fast as possible so the next model can begin lol. Keep up the fun guys.
Sean hope you have your kits in hand now and getting some fun in.

Chris - You got good momentum going on. Yes, periscope guards suck to make (yours came out great, just saying I hate gluing them things! )
This is going to be a cool tank when done.
Fabio - Thanks for coming to the party Have fun. That is another one of the better kits out there, so you have a knack for choosing fine models
I'm going to go spray some primer now

Is this kit acceptable as an entry into the campaign?
Thanks,

Got the Airfix 1/48 Snatch & WMIK Landrover OK and they do look nice. But I'm going to have to hold off starting for a while. Humbrol are bringing out a new paint for modern British vehicles in desert camo and I'll wait for that as I normally build and paint the main components before putting it all together and adding the detail. Pity they couldn't have timed the release together as Humbrol are the parent company of Airfix....
I'll post up some sprue shots though in the next day or two.

Tom - of course sir, that is one of the finest Tiger tank kits out there Sometimes they include the pe grills and a couple of Warriors figures too.
Sean - that is a bummer about the paints. We don't mind if you take a sprue shot or two so we can drool over it with you.

The Infra-red set I've been waiting for from Track48 has arrived so I'll be doing the Tammy Tiger2 in the pic as one of my Project '46 specials and possibly the Cromwell also if I get time .....

Good evening gents (and ladies - if present),
Just been sitting back watching the various builds progress and am seriously thinking of having my first foray into the "mid-scale zone".
So just checking with you all to see if anyone would object to a (in a whispered voice) civilian type wheeled vehicle joining in ?.
Being my first stab in this scale I thought I'd start with something fairly basic:
Hopefully no major objections to something from the quieter side of life .

here's a review on those figures. Gasoline makes a real nice tank crew set of 4 figures I would recommend.
