Great idea. I'll join with a T34 equipped with bed spring armor.

Jeff, does it have any extra armour ?
like these:
To qualify it must have some extra protection , not the original tank's protection.
Zimmerit / side-turret skirts / ERA blocks, blazer armour, etc..
I'm no expert on M1's so I can't tell by the boxart if it's an original Abrams or if it has some heavy armour version..

Think for this campaign I will break out my old Skif T-80UDK and finally assemble it with all my goodies from SP Design, Eduard, and Mini arm since we will have some new releason pretty soon I hope.

Jeff, USMC M1's have no 'extra' armor. You would have to add some TUSK parts, or maybe Jon would let the old slat armor that was used to protect the engine from heat-seeking missiles qualify.
I'm also pretty sure that the CyberHobby kit is an old DML M1, not the re-released M1A1 and A2 that everyone's been talking about lately.
I like Chiefs HMTT gun-truck, though I don't think it's really right for the Protection campaign. It's a separate entity and not a physical piece of armor.

Speaking of Zimmerit would a kit that has molded in zimmerit be acceptable here cause I have this little kitty in my stash

Ribbon ideas.... If only I had any talent or handle on what app to use to create one!
But - how about this: The theme here is add-on protection - we have German schurzen (and some other's analogs of), zimmerit, ERA blocks?, sand-bags, concrete, etc. etc. The real break-down of these things is about either tacking or hanging on some plates or new, separate layers, pasting on some sort of mass or goop or cement, or adding on obvious post-armor objects like ERA blocks or bags or logs.
I'm thinking that someone could create a simple 3-part image using maybe a slice of a close-up photo of zimmerit, a piece of a photo showing some version of spaced armor or schurtzen, and a slice of a photo of ERA or maybe sand-bags - these could all be of someone's builds or of the real thing? Your ribbon could be a composite with maybe "Protection!" in a flagged panel or box along / thru those slices. I'm of course just tossing out an idea, here - I don't know that words ever appear in ribbons, but...
Or maybe, because this is quite international as well as inter-era, one might have a small panel with red, white stars, Balkankreuz, a Brit roundel, in it, instead of the word as above?
Bob

Bob, you have no idea how small a campaign ribbon is do you?
This is why I only make ribbons when I'm told exactly what someone wants; on that subject, you never pm-ed me about the Wurf And Friends ribbon/banner.

Bob I was thinking about that.
Got some pics to work on that but couldn't find the time...
I was also thinking of a shield like these .. but smaller
or
ChiefGunner,
I like that ribbon, but the only problem is with the resize you won't be able to read the word , remember the actual size is 50px × 20px

This is a tough one to come up with a ribbon for.
How about just keeping it simple. Gray (steel) ribbon with a bolt in each corner. Have "Protection" in yellow place in the ribbon.

Ribbons are about the size of the country flag on peoples header Alex, even in something like size 5 font it'll be a tough fit and pretty much microscopic.

Christopher, I know the size and I know the difficulty. I made the ribbon for the TD/SPG Campaign. And I've played around with ribbons for a couple of others.
This is one of those subjects that just doesn't have an image that screams "protection", at least within the restrictions of the ribbon size. And it isn't directly related to an actual service ribbon. It's not period or nation specific.
It's a tough one to nail down. There's been some really good ones made, so maybe someone will come up with something.

I like the idea Alex, maybe just shorten it down to a P? Possibly with a small shield icon? That might be hard to see though. I'd try to make a ribbon for the campaign I'm just way to limited with Paint.

What conversion is it John? The instructions look like ERA blocks but the pieces look more like the Enigma armor.
