Hello,
Stupid question, I have the Academy "IED Hummer", and the up armored M1151, would those qualify for the Campaign? They technically are not an AFV, but they have extra armor applied to them.
Thanks
Randy

I hate to do it but it looks like I'll be doing the same kit as Marco. I'm going to dig it out of the stash tonight or tomorrow and give it a proper look over. I'll probably build mine straight out of the box and I might not even hold off on the interior until later.
The concreted StuG idea just sort of fell through. I've got three SuG 3/Gs sitting on the shelf about 75-85% done. I cannot justify me buying another one while those are up there. I could go with a StuG 4, but I really don't want to mess with those road-wheels right now. I've done two Panzer 4s in the past couple of months.
I may delegate the concrete StuG idea to a Refurbish Campaign. We haven't had one of those in a while so I guess we're due.

Hi Alex!
No problem about it. This vehicle is really cool, thats why I choose it.
I have one AAVP7 w/ EAAK, but I won't have time to build it.
Cheers!

Hi Paul!
I think, that now it's too late, but Magach 7 tanks are based on early M60 version with M48 style turret. The M48 hull is much different than M60.
Best Regards!

Hi Bartek,
thatīs odd, the intructions call out the M48 or M60
style hulls. So I went for the M48, maybe itīs wrong but
Iīm going ahead with it now, unless John says itīs a no go .
Thanks for the Info anyway.
Paul
Edit:
Somehow I donīt think John will ban this, as then he would
be disqualifying his own build on the Cold War Campaign.

Hi Paul,
The M48 conversion I'm using is from Legend , Magach 3 for Tamyia M48, it's for the ColdWar MBT Campaign.
The one you're using Magach 7 I believe it's for an M60;
This isn't an IDF Campaign, probably it isn't accurate, there might have been other upgrades, I don 't know, I'm no expert on IDF tanks... anyway this Campaign purpose is for extra protection, I don't mind if it's an accurate upgrade or not, side skirts on a Wespe, Zimm on a Humvee, blazer armour on a T-54, that's ok with me... Just have fun !

Hi John and Bartek,
well Iīve be doing a bit of research too
This page explains very well the upgrades for Magachs, and see there AEF designs has got it wrong.
http://www.idf-armour-group.org/vehicle_info_page_magach.htm
The 7 is based on the M60, but AEF have made their add-on armour to fit the M48. Why they call out the M60 as an alternative I donīt know, because all of the hull armour wont fit it.
Well this is not going to be a fly-by either, thereīs some stuff missing and worse than that, a lot has to be replaced
Freaky things they call tracks:
now some "I donīt know What the heck! these are supposed to beīs"
a bent barrel, but thats no prob:
the turret with small gap to the turret base:
looks like thereīs going to be a tad of scratch building added to this one, but thatīs fine by me. After all I like scratch building

Paul i admire your patience. Scratch building is one thing. Trying to make a bad AM kit parts to fit, or salvage those ''tracks'' is quite another..... Good luck! As for the Magach 7 on the M 48 tank, it existed, at least as a prototype. It was offered for export. I think that it is a case of poor research on their behalf.

Hi John (jkb Sprint),
thanks for your encouragement, time for some "Plastic Voodoo" as you once called it.
And a huge thanks for the heads up on the M48 export edition. I was thinking about doing another vehicle because of the accuracy thing.
If this was a "what if show" it wouldnīt bother me, but youīre input saved this project.
@ John: How long does this one run ?
