Nice works guys. Jeff, how the soldering was done?
I clean up the chassis and wheels, for my III E. Sadly no photos yet. Next week end, works in the superstructure and turret.

Hello fellas,
Thanks for the kind words gents.
Guy - I reckon the cat is out tha bag on the Color choice! Im thinking on doing the 'LAH'Div. France 1942, but the no.316 decals are gonna be tuff to get settled over the turret side doors.
Ok guys, This is my first attempt at Modulation. I not a big fan of it but i feel the need to give it a shot and do my own thing with it and see what turns out. There are 6 different colors with the AK set but only used 4 of em. Heres what i got. Note that its darker in person than in the pics...not sure why.
Like i said the colors are much darker in person and are stark in contrast to. Im gonna spray a highly thinned coat of Tamiya Panzer Grey to ty things together a bit.
Tell me what you guys think....ALL comments and suggestions are welcome.
Cheers,
Gary

Rob W.: Looking good.
Gary B: Superb!
Peter: Yes, it is the Dragon kit. Somewhat soft on detail. This is my second Orange Box kit. You get what you pay for. I would really like to add some am parts, but the only thing I can find are fenders.

Nice progress Gents, I wish I could say the same on my build, still raining hard here, and they've just issued flood watches.

Hello Gentlemen,
Thanks a bunch for the kind words fellas!
I have applied a filter to the Pz.IV to tone down the starkness between colors.
Builds are comin along nice fellas!

WoW!! Great Builds everyone this is how I evisioned our GB going, great subjects, and lots of friends.. Well I finally decied on the kit I will be building as it will be my second tank build and first Axis tank. But I am having some problems already as I am new to the armor game, Seems I have wasted some more money on purchasing the 1/35 Academy PzIV Ausf H/J. I want to build a tank on the italian front, and having probs finding pictures of who was there, I read mostly 26th PD. Also just read that this is the worst kit I couldve gotten same as my tamiya sherman. Also I see this kit does not have the turret ring armor as seen in almost all the pictures I see of the PzIV. So I am already frustrated. but samll question/favor does anyone have any extra turrert armor they are not going to use or forgot about I would love to $ for it as the PE for this kit is more than the kit itself. and could anyone point me in the direction of some color plates of PZ IV H/J's in Italy. Thank you in advance.

Nice Works friends!
@ Robert.- thanks!, I added some impacts on the skirts. Your Stug looks very good!
More updates:
Chassis: For the mud I used marble dust with Plyvinyl. Applied Vallejo acrylic of Vallejo "Brown-earth". Rest of the armor with washes of "matt brick-red" thinned with Enamel Thinner de Humbrol.
Regards!

Seeing all of these great builds, I begin to miss the engineering of Dragon's more recent kits. Oh well, I still have quite a few panzer III's and IV's to knock out.
My build is nearing the painting stage. I just have to finish the turret and get the fenders in. I may also replace the kit mg. I am considering scratching some lifting hooks, as the kit ones are blobs of plastic.

Awesome work as always dudes, small update on the Brummbär today, work is slow but steady as I'm also building a number of other kits.
Currently putting together the hatches and thinking I't would be a shame to leave them all closed, but since there isn't much in the way of interior I might have to lose my scratch-virginity for this one.

There are a lot of amazing working going on here. Can't wait to see all of the builds in the end.
Here is where I'm at. Got the tools completed. Sorry for the lighting and photos. Taking them from my iPad, but I'm working on a photo booth and my wife will use her awesome camera and take better pictures of the final product.
Next up future and decals. For the weathering I will be using AK Interactive washes for the first time.

Eugene,
Don't worry if you don't have the latest or greatest kit, that is not necessary for a good result. My first kit after being away for many many years was Dragons first kit No 6001 Nashorn.
When I started looking at reviews for it I thought I was going to have all sorts of problems but I just built it straight out of the box and have a decent looking Nashorn.
As for paint schemes I found this:

Cheers Rob.

Gene:I wouldn't get too bent out of shape Buddy. Build it and see what happens Some people are very strong with their opinions about stuff. As far as the turret armor goes, I bet you could take some styrene sheet and scratch some up in no time
Rodolfo:You need to talk to your Tank Crew, cause Man is that thing dirty IT LOOKS GREAT.
Tristan:Don't worry about how speedy you are. Your build is looking aces.
Mike:I think your pics look pretty good, and the tank's sweet Dude. Can you help me out with the Ipad thing? I've been messing around with mine trying to figure out how to copy and paste, and I just can't figure it out
Rob:That's one sweet 'Horn. I've got one in 1/72nd that I need to get to. Jeff T.

Hey Jeff, it easy but annoying. For copy and paste a pic, all you do it double tap the end of the link and three choices come up. Choose select all, then a second or two copy will appear. Press it. Then go where you want to paste it. Double tap and paste will appear. Then press it.
Copy and paste a sentence or word then double tap on the word, then, two lines will appear and then you can move them until you have what you want to copy.
It's annoying since I have big fingers. I try to enlarge the screen to make it bigger and easier. Hope this helps.

@ Rob
Thanks for help my friend. Nashorn is myfav Axis TD I have 5 of them. And your build is rocking.
@ Jeff
You are right, I just like to be semi accurate out of box or on what I am building. Bit as it will only be my second build. I shouldnt care.
Man so many good builds going on.

Gene, you need to do what makes you happy Dude. I like to be close also, but I don't let rule my build. Some day I will start counting rivets but for now as long as it could have been, then that's good enough for me .

I have run into another problem. The directions call for five plates, but only four will fit. This leaves one periscope unarmored. Obviously, I can't add one and it will be rather difficult to modify the ones provided. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Thanks Guys!
In the past my quest for accuracy led to a lot of half built kits.
Cheers Rob.
