John:Anything that you have would be very much appreciated. I have been able to find some fairly good pics, but the more the merrier

Matt: what the heck Dude? you seem to be having your share of paint problems lately Details please.

I decided to move my bench inside. It's hard to build when you can't feel your fingers. Just too cold and rainy.

Here's what I came up with....

Kinda crude, I know but it works

Cannon sanded and primed

And parts trimmed and laid out for assembly

Hope to have more done by the end of today

I am in with a Sturer Emil from Trump. I know another is doing on though in a smaller scale. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions in how I can dress up the fighting compartment since it is open to the elements. Thanks.

Yeah, the Emil is a fun build!

I still need to get some better tracks for it.

Some very wonderful builds.
John P: That Emil looks awesome! You have mad skills.

Managed to strip my botched paint job and primer it, again. I'll wait till the weekend, before I start on the camo. I think I know what happened to it. I was clearing my ab with thinner and not paying attention to what I was doing. So, I'm looking through my cabinet and must have accidentally sprayed the tank. Lesson learned. Don't be a dumb and watch what you are doing.

Oh. I will have to wait till next month, before I order the am parts for the Vorpanzer. I've been waiting too long for a reasonably priced dozer. So, I went ahead and pre-ordered the D9R.

Anthony: The stug is looking great! I wish you the best of luck with fitting the hull.

I should have my photo-etch here, in a couple of weeks. I'll be posting photos of the III, this weekend.

Some progress, dry fitting, fenders next.
Have not touched a kit for awhile, so discovered a few items have to be replaced, like, dried up glue and plastic putty and some paints, plastic solvent all evaporated??? I think I need to go to the hobby store, bugger.
Rob G

PS. Just joined the Big Gun campaign, so I will get a start on the Karl-Gerat Mortar to go with my Fahrgestell IV austF ammo carrier.

Anthony: You've got the hardest part done Man. Looks great.

RobW: Primer looks fantastic. Those weld seams look right on.

Mike: Now the fun part begins, Get some grime on that thing.

RobG.: I was a little confused there for a minute. Only half your update loaded the first time I checked it. Now I know what those GIANT shells go to.

Here's My latest work.

Cannon assembled and primed

Also got some interior parts primed.

Next question, Looking at the photo's posted.( Thanks again, John ) The cannon looks like bare steel. What do you Guys think I should use for a color? Jeff T.

Jeff T: Bare steel? I would recommend, well, steel. I use Testors and MM metallics for bare metal. The exceptions being aluminum and brass. Now, if it hasn't been machined, I recommend Tamiya metallic grey. However, the barrel would have been machined.

grey on - Vallejo "German Grey" going to do a little scuffing on this (did HS the primer) but not too much, also going to do some fading with TE filters via AB - if i dont like it I can always go the white wash route, if I do I can leave it "boring grey"....

I should have known better, what a bunch of wise guys
I'm planning on doing the pencil thing or maybe powdered graphite on the cannon, so Matt, you're thinking XF-56 for the base color? The barrel, since its outside the fighting compartment will be the same color as the hull. Jeff T.

No. The steel would have been machined. You will want to paint it steel. Like I stated, I use Testors or MM steel for this.

I am wondering what is the flooring in the Emil? Is it wood or something else. The colour photo shows that it is of the same hue as the interior to my eyes. Any other suggestions? Thanks for the assistance.
