I believe I just finished the SINCGARS set. I've included parts from the handhelds set and some speakers. I ordered it already so as soon as it gets to me and I've made any changes if necessary, I'll put it up in the shop. I'll upload screen grabs later today.

Good news the SINCGARS. Can't wait to see them and order a few sets. These will be the only set where you can just get a SINCGARS radio and not a bunch of other radio/FBCB2 parts.

On a side note, would anyone be interested in a TA-1042A Digital Voice Terminal set?

The TA-1042A DNVT (Digital Non-Secure Voice Terminal) would be welcomed too. It was/is an early version of Army cell phone. I used to have one in my HMMWV.

Is an Iridium SatPhone doable? I know a lot of units had at least one back in '03.

Ok, I'll get on that TA-1042 after the Red Dot A/C interior unit is finished.

Any pictures of the SatPhone from 2003? I looked for it but I don't know the difference.

Also, pictures incoming!

Here's a run down of what's included in this set:
6 H-250U
3 LS-671/VRC
2 Harris Falcon III AN/PRC-152; 1 with and 1 without the GPS module on the back
1 DAGR
1 PLGR
1 AN/PRC-154

And, of course the radios:
2 RT-1523A/B/C/D
2 RT-1523E/F

And the AM-7239.

Pictures!

Below shows the set with the RT-1523A/B/C/D radios used:

Looks really nice. Great details. Would it be possible to include two mounts in the set? That way you could use all 4 radios (2 ICOM & 2 ASIP) and make two complete radio sets w/all the parts you are including.

I'll add one in right now. Bear in mind, it will raise the price. As it sits now, base price is $12.03 for FXD. That'll go up to $16 because I need to add on my markup. I'm not sure how much more the price will rise with a second Amp.

Mike I know I probably shouldn't say this but given the quality of your work and the level of detail offered here these radios would be cheap at twice the price! (And now we are going to get TWO useable radios out of each set!). Kudos

I agree with Mike. The price will still be very reasonable. Let me know when it is ready to order.

Ok, it costs $13.97 in FXD for the 2 amps model. I'll be placing an order to test it and get pictures up. With this model I want to be completely sure it's printable before putting it up only to take it down and make adjustments.

I've made the SINCGARS set available but I would caution against buying it right this second. I've already placed an order and as soon as I receive it I'll check it and make any necessary changes.

Also just finished is the Red Dot R-2400-0 interior air con. Just the interior portion. I haven't started/attempted the outside portion yet.

As a former Commo SGT, I give it 5 thumbs up and what a price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next would be an Amplifier and Base unit so that you can have 2 long range radios.

Could you explain what you mean? Amplifier and base unit like this one?

Or like this?

Gino will have to confirm if I am correct on this but Mike I don't think the interior A/C box is that thick. Behind the unit are the mounting channels yes, but otherwise just open air space. That way they can mount it on uneven surfaces and also air can move behind it to reduce the transfer of heat from the cab body panels to the A/C unit.

It might just be the view. I'll post up a side shot later. I was using some figures I got off of a retailers ebay listing but unfortunately I couldn't find any good full side on pictures that I could use to check.

You're probably right. The image on the Shapeways sight looks more correct I think b/c it is a true perspective projection image rather than an isometric as on this thread.

The amp is just the box on the far left side (when looking from the front) of the mount. It can be mounted on a separate base to have a two radio long range system.

Amp by itself

Amp removed from base

Amp mount. The above amp slides into this mount.

This diagram shows a dual long range radio setup w/a separate power amp.

This shows the separate power amp in its mount on the left.

Thanks Gino for chiming in on the separate power amp and mount.

Wish I had kept all my power point presentations when I had to give classes on all this stuff.

Mike,

Also note the 2 different bases that Gino posted.

The 2nd one pictured is a AM-7239E and the 1st one, which you made, is a AM-7239B model.

These radios and stuff are so nice! I wish I had a clue about them. I'd order some just to have in case.

IN this case there might be a little confusion because we are talking about the antenna signal amplifier on the left side of the base rather than the audio amplifier which, l believe is located on the right side of the base.

I agree with Gino. Just let me know when you are happy with the SINCGARS and I will order some!

The right side box is not really an audio amplifier, but more of a mixer/junction box. It has inputs for the 2 radios, then the rest of the connections are outputs for handmikes, speakers, headsets, speaker control boxes, etc.. There are posts at the rear of the box to connect it to a wire line system as well (inputs/outputs). I don't believe it does any amplifying though.
