Unfortunately I'm not sure whether or not the redone models will even pass the manual inspection with how stringent Shapeways has been against some of the VIC models. But the VIC-5 I'm confident will pass. Bit less so on the -1, -2 and -3.

Well then, I will just continue and still get them if the do re-do them. For sure get the VIC/5 when I get the new handsets and radios you did.

Mike this may be asking too much as I really don't know what is involved but . . .

How about adding five cable connectors to the ring of five SINCGARS speakers that you offer?

Just an idea.

The cable connectors are similar to what's in the VIC-1 set, right?

Yes, they are the same, angled connectors.

I just ordered the handsets set. I'm sure they will look great.

Any progress on the SINCGARS yet? How about the air brake cylinders, do you think you can do them?

Yes the cable connectors are identical to what you have already done.

I also just learned that the speaker cable has a connector on each end so we would need ten connectors for five speakers.

Just say'n.

Thanks Mike for any help on this that you can offer.

How about printing the unusual screen that's on the Maus. This is an old OOP PE set

Those can't be printed. They're best as PE.

I received the Handsets and Hand-Held Radios set on Fri. It came out very nicely. The handsets are really small and detailed well. It looks great.

Any progress on the SINCGARS sets?

The reason I suggested it is because in photos of the real thing the screen is much more 3D in appearance, something 2D PE can not do. You can see an example in the photo at the upper left. If you want i could research it.

Yeah I see. Unfortunately it would still be overscale through 3D printing and is still best done as a PE part. Maybe a very thick part but still a PE part.

I think I might release the individual SINCGARS radios together. I can't release the mount/amplifiers but the radios themselves are good to go.

What is the issue with the mounts and amps? The SINCGARS radios by themselves are kind of useless. You need a mount to put them in for a vehicle.

How about also releasing the antenna amp and audio amp needed for the SINCGARS radio base and then we can knock together the rest of it ourselves?

The mounts and amps aren't finished and I don't have a prospective date as to their completion. I don't have enough references to confidently finish them accurately. I don't want to sell inaccurate designs even if I'm able to go back in and fix them later. The individual radios are finished.

I'm still trying to find more pictures that would help me but it's slow going.

In response to a need for artillery rounds, I quickly drew up a model of a 155mm round in 1/35. I've also started drawing up a Red Dot R-2400-0 A/C unit. The wall unit should be done soon and I'll then get started on the condenser unit.

Thanks!

The soda bottles are pretty much done. Just need to wait for my computer to finish a pattern function and create a base and they'll be finish. 100 in a set.

They are finished. I created an STL for them. I just forgot to upload it and now I have to create a new STL.

Something I have found to be very useful: Regularly run a search of ALL of eBay for items I am interested in finding reference photos on. - In this particular case SINCGARS radio components.

(Photos shown here are the property of DelawareLister and are used here for discussion purposes only.)

Past eBay searches have produced WWII tank radios, SINCGARS radios, HEMTT driveline/cab/body parts and AIRCO/Red Dot air conditioner parts for HUMVEEs.

Thank you for the pictures. I've already been using eBay for many projects, including the SINCGARS and I've also found new posts I hadn't seen before on eBay. I started back on the SINCGARS set and I think I'm making great headway. I've got the back and right side pretty well squared out and now I'm just adding small details. The left and a AM-7238B are still giving me slight headaches but I'm pushing through them.

On a side note, would anyone be interested in a TA-1042A Digital Voice Terminal set?
