I think the mounting brackets would be helpful.

Actually I won't be getting my set in yet. Mine went back into pre-production for some reason - some part of it probably broke along the way. It just started production again earlier today.

I hope I can see some of the sets being used in some builds here. I actually don't have too too much of a use for the SINCGARS currently.

My sets are in transit - I'll post couple pics of them when they arrive. This will be incredibly helpful toward my builds.
If you group the sets into vehicle specific suites I wager I'll be buying more sets. Thanks again for your time, talents and efforts.

Not trying to push or anything as I am not in any rush but do you intend to do the outside twin fan condenser for the A/C unit as well?

Myself I would suggest just doing the condenser itself without any mounting brackets and let us scratch those up ourselves. Unless of course you are considering doing several styles with different mounting arrangements.

I'll have to gather more materials to do the mounting brackets and exterior condenser. I was originally planning on doing the condenser, though. If anyone has scratched the mounting brackets for the brakes, could you shoot me the dimensions you used?

As far as I can tell, the brake chambers are finished until I have enough info to do the brackets.

F.Y.I. Each retainer ring has only one tightening clamp not two. Also the larger "can" is actually a three part affair with the top retainer ring also having a tightening set screw.

The top of the large can is not right. The thing on top is some kind of wing nut with only two wings, not four.

The piece in the top is just a rubber/plastic plug to keep dirt and debris out.

I guess the same could be said for the brake cylinder mounting brackets. It may be best to just do the cylinders and let the modeler figure out the mounting brackets since different trucks have different brackets. That would make them applicable to any 1/35 truck model that has air brakes.

I apologize if I have posted these here before.

HEMTT Brake assembly & mounting bracket . . . . . . . . . . . Slack Adjuster

At the start my brake mounting brackets were quite long and simply got cut down shorter and shorter until they looked right and fit the model.

Trumpeter large brake actuators for their HEMTT are 5/16" actual inches tall and 1/4" in diameter at the retainer rings NOT including the locking screw set.

Even though they are styled a bit differently the overall measurements on the Trumpeter large brake actuators for the Mark 23 Navy 7 ton truck are exactly the same physical size as those included in their HEMTT model.

The SINCGARS sets has arrived. All they need is a paint & wash before mounting them in their radio rack. The details should really pop with a wash. I set the parts atop a dime and a quarter to help convey the intricate detail despite their tiny size.

Mike I am afraid to say that these might just be the best SINCGARS on the market.

Wow! That set does look pretty good! There's a few designs that I pretty much know how they'll turn out even before they're printed but I had no idea how these would turn out. I really hate to sound self-flattering but I'm pretty surprised. I'd like to know how the PLGR comes out. The antenna is separate and I'm not sure if I provided enough clearance for it to be assembled properly.

Mike, those really turned out fantastic. I can't wait until I finish my move in a couple of weeks. I will place a BIG shapeways order.

Regards,

Eric

There's a sale going on now at Shapeways. 25% off everything in the Marketplace using the code SMALLBIZ. It's valid today through the 27th at 11:59pm.

The brake cylinders will be going up shortly.
The ducts on the A/C unit have also been hollowed out.

Ordered the SINCGARS set as well. I'm really looking forward to getting it.

I also saw the brake cylinders. They look good but, there needs to be 4 of each type (front and rear) for the HEMTT. A HEMTT is an 8x8; 4 front wheels, 4 rear wheels.

I second that notion regarding the brakes! Four front and four rear.

New model with 4 front cylinders has been uploaded. The brake cylinders have also been moved 2 millimeters further out from the main sprue branch to make removal easier.

I don't see the brake cylinders on your Shapeways page any longer. Can you check to make sure they are active (or whatever makes it show up as purchasable)?

The problem should be fixed. For some reason, the product setup page has been setting materials as unprintable when an edit has been made.
