Wow, a lot of stuff is happening here - and I have not even opened the box yet

@Mike: that 251 looks really cool. Looking forward to see it when it is finished. Thanks for sharing

That's the DML 251C. Finished the right side tracks yesterday finishing the left side is possible today?..... I have a PAK 40 to tow behind. I noticed yesterday that the fuel can racks on the back doors interfered with the gun's ability to hook up to the tow pintle so I removed them.

That could make a cool diorama. Two soldiers trying to hook up the cannon to the transporter and wondering what is wrong.
It came to my mind because I'm quite sure I once saw a figure idal for such a scene: a puzzled German soldier scratching his head

Ok Gentlemen, I have requested for a folder for the campaign.

The folder is already up so I would appreciate it if all of your or finish pictures of your halftrack be dumped into them.

Thank you guys.

I like #2, so my vote goes to that one.

The chassie for the Famo is 75% done, it's going togather really well, I plan to post pic soon of the unpainted chassie, starting to work on the links for the tracks, which will be time comsuming since they are indivialual links and I plan for them to work.
Will keep everybody updated and I promise to have pics soon.

Cheers Mike

Can't no more room in my folder and deleting photos is a real pain one at a time and after I delete a photo I'm booted back to the albums menue so mine will stay here. too much grief to use this photo system for me.

I also vote for Ribbon 2.

Still waiting for my Demag to arrive, so I'll keep plugging away on my Achtung Jabo entry, which is also a half track.

Ribbon no. 3 looks best.
As I may suggest something it would look better to place the profile of halftrack on plain background or on background with stripes on the ends of ribbon (like on ribbon with motorcycle - On two wheels as I remeber the name)- just a thought

I don't know if it's just the Polish taste, but I choose the same as Warlord, the 3rd.

I just bought myself a kit for the campaign.. finally!
It's Sd. Kfz. 250/10 w/3.7cm PAK from Dragon
I just can't wait till I get my hands on this one (tomorrow)

Ribbon 3 for me....

I was going to get going tonight (I've been dying to start on my models after the construction in my room), but the compressor died on me, smoking through its electricity connections... Yeah I know I can still build things without painting them but "troop morale" is really low I should say.

Hopefully, when life gets easier I will start working on a Sdkfz 7 from Tamiya (or a Sdkfz 251 D from Dragon).

Hey all

Just thought I'd post an in progress pic as I got to work on my Half track today..

Its the Hasegawa M3A1 in 1/72 scale.. my 2nd model in 1/72, I have no idea why I choose this tiny thing.. The whole kit is only 3 1/2 inchs long LOL...

still got a few fit problems to work out but so far not a bad "little" kit..

Does the fit problems mentioned include a 1/35 scale .50 cal mounted on a 1/72 scale M3 Halftrack, in such a fashion that it looks like a Pak 40 or something?

It looks cool. If it is possible (I consider working 1/72 armor as madness) you might consider clearing out the "spaces" in the front rims so that they would look natural. However given the scale, it just not be worth it.

Hey there

The .50 cal is on there as a 'little' joke.. I just happened to have it sitting by the bench.. LOL

Thanks for pointing out the wheel spaces.. I didn't see that before I glued them on.. don't know if I can fix em now or not. may just leave them there. I am building this model as a fun OOB project and I don't plan to fret very much over it...

You could use black paint to give them depth I suppose. Wouldn't be the real thing of course, but for that scale it should be sufficient (plus it is better than breaking something while trying to improve the model). Nice looking tiny vehicle it will be when it is finished.

I will vote for #2.

I havn't started anything yet for this campaign. I have been taking a mini-break from modeling the last couple weeks. I had been going at it pretty hard and just needed a little break from the work bench.

Later this week I hope to be back at it.
