introduction
This is an all resin kit that represents a Mercedes 770 German Staff Car. Not being a major German vehicle builder, my references were limited, so I'll reserve my comments on it’s accurateness as hopefully the person who mastered it had better references than I had. I assumed that being from the heyday of custom body works of limousines in the US, that Mercedes did the same thing, and that each would be a little different according to the buyers’ desires. A fellow member and owner of a restored car up in Canada sent some photos; and photos from the Internet were my main references. I realized that some will have a heart attack that I didn't take the rest of my life to become an expert on Mercedes 770’s, but my intentions as always are to build the model, not present it’s history or become an expert on it. So take your heart pills, and read something else if you don't like my building style or philosophy on the hobby.Hopefully some of my more critical comments of the quality will not be misinterpreted, as the problems I encountered could vary with each casting, and shipping method. And this being a resin kit, your mileage may vary. My kit took a world tour before arriving at my house, being a sample sent to Armorama in California, then forwarded to the reviewer in the UK, then back across the pond to me, so perhaps some of the damaged parts I had came from it’s travels.
