Bovington Tank Museum a virtual tour

There are only 7 vehicles (8 if you count the vehicle going over the trench) and two German artillery guns one of which is the “Graincourt Gun”, the limited number of vehicles gives you a good idea of just how big these WW1 tanks are. At certain times some of the WW1 tanks are opened up, and young and old alike are allowed to find out just what it was like to crew one these early AFV's which brings going to war in these cramped vehicles into stark reality.There are a number of information points and interactive items to keep youngsters amused.

An excellent tour Darren, well done. You really captured the atmosphere of the place. I'm a Bovy fan too and go two or three times a year if I can.

Thank you both. It is registered as a charity and a visit there will be the best £11 for an adult £7 for a child you could ever spend.

It was cap;tured in tunisa in 1943 and so I believe would be classed as early.
