The next thing to add were the tracks. I needed the early style Churchill track and I had a set of the Resicast tracks already. Resin track tends to send one into a state of panic and I asked a lot of question about the best way to fit these. In the end they were a breeze to work with, there is a simple guide that comes with the set, simply follow it and take you time. They needed very little clean up. I think they turned out well and have excellent detail.
The tracks are link and length and you will need to stabalise the front idler wheels to make adding the links easier. I used a tiny bit of PVA glue so that I could still move the wheel if I need to.
When adding the track you will need to glue down the top sections first once you have joined them up as per the build picture. The tracks fit the kit really well and only a tiny amount of super glue will be needed along the L shaped runners on the kit to get a good fix. I have already revied this set here on Armorma

I painted as much of the track as I could before fitting but left all the individual links clear so that I could get a good fix on the joints. Any slight imperfections can always be disguised by the addition of some well placed mud!!
I used Humbrol Matt 70 for the base coat, a home made dark grey for the basic colour and then a mixture of X10 Gun Metal, XF 56 Metallic Grey and X11 Chrome Silver to add contrast and wear to the tracks. Pin washes of Dark Umber, some unmentionable stuff from the gunk pot and Mig P245 Brown for Green were also applied.

I just skimmed through this build feature and am already finding it helpful. Maybe this will be my next non-campaign project after I finish my MK IV? It's a good thing Darren likes British armour, or we may never get around to finishing some of these builds

Looked like an interesting build Alan. Thanks for the article.
I may have to add another Churchill to my list by the looks of it - I'm beginning to love doing resin interiors.

Hi Jeremy,
Yes, there are a good bunch of helpful people around, they are what make most of my builds possible.
