Step 10

Here we have the option of the trailer doors open or closed, the attachment of the door locking handles, and the mud flaps. There were no fit issues here, construction being straightforward. The door latches were my only area of concern as DML have used the latches in the same orientation for both open and closed doors, while those on the Garrison’s trailers stay in open or closed positions once open or locked; I am not totally sure about this however as that could just be down to the Garrison’s guns being over 70 years old.

Step 11

Not really a stage at all, it just shows how to hook the gun to the ammunition trailer.

Figures

I assembled two of the figures in order check some aspects of them perhaps not previously seen. I am aware that some have questioned their physique, but I don’t have any concerns here, my reasoning being that anyone who handles a large number of shells, with all the core body movement that task entails, is probably going to have a well-defined physique. The aspects of the figures that do concern me are firstly the helmets, where the brims seem far too large for any WWII helmet I am familiar with, the second relating to their positions around the gun, which reflect 1944 gun drill, post-dating the possible theatre settings for this particular model. I accept that is a minor complaint/observation and most would not notice this issue.
