Now on to the assembly of the cradle support and traverse platform, the aiming devices being tackled as well. The cradle support and arms go together well, with a reasonable level of detail, and the connection points, while minimal in size, do their job well. The elevation cog fails to engage fully, so I suggest that when you have decided on the gun’s elevation position, it is glued in place. The sighting system is acceptable detail-wise but you’ll need to check your references to ensure you get everything correctly positioned, as the vague instructions and the limited or lack of connection points make the positioning of the three siting parts guess work once again.

The oil can that sits on the right hand side of the cradle support is depicted back to front, I suspect due to the example at the Imperial War Museum, where it has been added this way round. The Garrison have checked our guns and while this orientation is possible it would require that the nozzle of the oil can is bent down to fit, so I recommend that it is reversed, and it certainly makes more sense this way. A minor observation is that the sliding scale for the ranging cone is not correctly depicted, it should hang down at the tip of the cone.
