BUILDING THE KIT

The build starts with the frame. The exhaust is hollowed. I chose to build the kit without the winch. Four bolts are added on the bumper. They were made with a home made « punch & die » : thanks Jacques !! CF PHOTO Beep-01

Assembly advances further with the wheel hubs : nothing special here. The hood is then assembled, taking care to erase the bumps for the windscreen. They will be replaced by photo-etched parts. CF PHOTO Beep-01 et Beep-02

The instrument panel is replaced by PE. Still, I thinned the plastic part and kept it to help in the installation. On the pictures, you can see the Eduard gauges. CF PHOTO Beep-04

The front seat frames are replaced by PE. The pedals are added on the floor. The gear and brake levers are glued in place and the hole for the winch lever is filled (no winch on this vehicle). A handle is added on the glove box. CF PHOTO Beep-05

The footboards are added. I sanded the anti-skid pattern and replaced it with ABER PE. I wonder now if it was really necessary. CF PHOTO Beep-06
