PAINTING THE KIT

First of all, the model is painted humbrol olive-drab. The color is very dark, so it will be a good primer and pre-shading. Then, a lighter green, like humbrol French artillery, is airbrushed in the center of each panel of the vehicle. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-01 et Beep-peint-02

Once this is dry, I airbrush flat varnish. 24 hours later, I can start painting details : radiator, levers, lights, driving wheel, tyres... etc. The tarp is airbrushed with a mix of humbrol 26 and 29. The recesses are then darkened with dark umber.

The tarp is first painted with humbrol flat 29. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-03

The frames get a second coat with flat 72. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-05

Royal Model fixings are placed on the sides. The ropes are tinted with yellow ochre artists' oils. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-06

The windshield is replaced by a thin sheet of rhodoďd which is fixed with wood glue. Then come the wipers, painted black. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-07

The two jerry cans are painted with French artillery green mixed with a bit of white. CF PHOTO Beep-peint-08

You can then start placing the decals.
