The grid in front of the radiator looks poor on the italeri kit. The one on the Eduard sheet is too complicated for me... so I stole the one from the skybow box ! CF PHOTO Beep-14

Finding inspiration in an article by Frederic Astier in a Steel Masters magazine, I added a support for 2 jerry cans on the right foot board. CF PHOTO Beep-15

A plasticard fixing is added on the wing, and 3 verlinden nuts are glued in place. CF PHOTO Beep-16

Wishing to add a tarp to my vehicle, I had several possibilities :

• Use the Italeri tarp • Rebuild a tarp

Again inspired by Frédéric Astier, I tried to rebuild it, but I’m far from satisfied by the result !! I remade the frames with piano string, and cut the tarp from the fabric of a Camembert cheese box ; here is the sad result... CF PHOTO Beep-17

I then found out that the frames were too high. Also, once painted, the tarp didn’t look good.

So I decided to use and improve the Italeri part. I deleted the part over the driver’s cabin. I then carefully sanded the rest of the part and glued paper tissue over it with wood glue. I left a few wrinkles in the paper tissue to simulate fabric. I made six holes, where a rope is used to attach the tarp to the car. CF PHOTO Beep-18 et Beep-19

On each tyre, a valve out of thin plastic is added. On the spare-wheel, a small balance weight is added.

the model is now ready to be painted.
