Thank you Alexandre and Claude !

The second shutter is completed with nails and for now I let the window rest.
Paint and varnish was brushed on them.

I have two more days to build so I can update regularly !
A flag holder was made and attached to the house, under the window.

Alexandre, Jan, thank you, the forum gave me the push to go a little further detailing the lantern.

It's done, only a bit of dusting is needed, no rust this time.

A sunny shot :

The flag holder will be rusty (next update).

Bye guys, don't hesitate to tell me if you like it or not.

Hey guys,

The lantern was weathered after all. I make a photo soon.

I started the construction of a scratchwork door bell.

I changed the blue areas to make it look better. A photo of the finished bell is coming up soon.

Really nice shape on the door bell. Tons of detail. I know it's just finished so you may be planning on adding more weathering to it. I think it needs it to match the lanter a bit more. It won't need to match the color of the lantern, but the 'age' and weathering should.

I saw the sun light photos and had to look twice to make sure I was not looking at a real door/building.

Hello Scott, thank you for your kind words, always a pleasure to read them. The bell still needed to be finished. But now it's done and I have pictures of the colored and weathered situation.

I hope you like it. G.

Hey Alexandre, I have planned two more houses for later.
The street section is for much, much later. Thank you as always for your kind words.

I have made a photo with a 1 euro cent coin to show the scale.

Its a testimony to the quality of your work that even if you take closeups the building and items looks very real.

Great work!

Those are definitely real buildings that he is taking photos of and he is just kidding you that he built them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guy you are just damned good at faking the photos to make them look like the coin is larger than the real doorbell

Tee hee

Dashed good work and just makes me GREEN WITH ENVY that I ain't got even a fraction of the tallent!!!!!!!!!

Jan, thank you, it's a bit silly to go for the details of a house, instead of enjoying a good build of a nice looking military vehicle...

Glenn, thank you, I sdtry to do the best I can, with patience and tons of luck too.

Jan K, the photos are a test, this became very important to me, when it doesn't look real on the pic, it appears not to be realistic enough. Thank you !

Nige, patience is 70 % of the result, 20 % is technique, 10 % pure luck ! Believe me, I'm impressed every time I visit Armorama topics, this is a place of true artists, not just modellers.
Thank you !

At this moment I'm building a Dakota C-47 Skytrain (Italeri, 1/72, a "golden oldie" but so dated too). It's got to be ready before the 6th of June next month (Yes ! A D-Day campaign). So it has nothing to do of course with this topic, but I want to let you know my friends, that I'll continue here as soon as possible !

Cheers G.

Thanks mate, this gives me the courage to battle on !

I started the finishing of the grey tiles yesterday.

An oil paint wash was brushed on, to age the roof a first time.

Then I used the same wash to give more variation by adding very fine drops of wash.

Cheers guys ! Guy.

Well well well, at least you come again Guy.
Glad you're back in dio forum!
Great work on this house, but I would have done more variant on the tiles colors. Different shades of blue/grey.
Anyway, you're doing an outstanding job, as usual, and you're a great inspiration for me and many diorama builders I think.
Keep on posting. I can't wait to see the sister-houses of this one.

Shaun, I'm glad to keep people interested in my work. I like to experiment with my camera. Sometimes I'm lucky to make some good pics...

Martyn, I like to add detail to this project, I learn a lot doing this.

Luke, ssssht ! Don't mention my giant euro please...

Alexandre, the roof wasn't finished yet, but I changed this roof for a completely new one ! See for it in my new update...

Jan, thank you too my friend, your comment keeps me going !

I have removed the tiled roof for a sag appeared and I didn't like it at all. So...I started all over again.

The old "sagged" roof :

The brand new roof :

The roof in its base colors and ready to be weathered...:

Cheers my friends.
