Luke, thank you for the pics you've placed in my topic. They add quite a bit of information. The sag is clear.

The roof is almost done now, just a bit of matt varnish will be brushed on.

Another pic of a tiled roof, it's interesting to see that the tiles are not lined up straight.

My own roof :

Hello again friends,

Another update, the gutter of the roof.

I've tried to make old, weathered paint layers.

Brilliant. That chipped, weathered paint looks great.

I also like how you are progressing with the small details (although they have a big effect).

Alexandre : here I am again my friend, I hope you'll enjoy what I've done today.

Chas : you are right, the big effect is achieved by adding the smallest details.

Next update is about the gutter, rainpipe...

The pipe was painted with a mix of antracite/brown for an old look.

a little detail was added to make this area more interesting/colorful.

The stones were weathered/dirtied up with washes of black and burnt umber.

Tomorrow I'll start painting the last window of the house and the walls will be weathered a little more in places.

May be I will make shutters for the window...

Cheers, Guy.

Axel : thank you ! I must say I'm quite satisfied with the walls.

The last window was finished today.

Still a couple of thingies to do, probably tomorrow the definitive update of this house.

What a marvelous ending, Guy! You are right to be happy with the walls! I don't think you can make them more real.

Amazing Guy,
Could you please show us a pic with the Gate and this-wonder-you-call-house together?
Really nice work you're doing.
Diorama Section is when you're hanging around.

Primoz : thank you. I believe it will never be perfect, but that's my luck ! The dream to make the perfect building will survive always.

Vance : thank you. I'm glad with the final result of this "house 1" project. Now...up to number 2.

Alexandre : thank you. Without people like you forums weren't as inspiring as they are now. I'm glad my work is interesting enough for other diorama builders. I learn here every day and it feels good to be here ! I'll make a good pic as soon as possible, ok ?

First update of the new project : house 2.

I'm making the base construction from this stuff used by architects to create scale maquettes.

This is house 2 (house in the middle) :

This part is the front wall base and it will be covered entirely...I use from the reference pic what is interesting. So it won't be an exact copy of the house pictured in the photo.

Tomorrow I'll try to update and show a completed base construction of this building.

Cheers friends, Guy.

Can't wait Guy.
Please Don't forget the pics with the old module (gate) if you can do them.
I'm far to impatient to see where you want to go with this dio. Cause I can only imagine at the moment..

This new house could be mind-blowing with this stairs down on the low door below street level.
A great composition will born with these segments.
But I wonder? will you do another type of builds or just houses?

cheers my friend.

Whoa another house, great! I can't wait to see it develop.

Your picture with the light shining through the window looks really good. Are you planning on adding any interior lighting?

Wow guys, your words are very much appreciated !
Since I visit the site regularly I discovered many super talented people and I must say I learn a lot of you all. I'm glad it comes from both sides and it's fun to read that others appreciate my projects and learn sometimes too !

Today I started the cork work and I have made an old wooden door from plastic sheet. I completed it with a copper grab handle and some copper etch parts.

Hello my friends, I think I have to explain why I did not update my topic since june 19.

A good friend of mine fell of the roof of his garage and broke his back. The news we heard then, was terrible : he will be parellised forever, starting from his chest. I also work with him on the job for we are both train managers. In fact, this makes it even tougher to deal with, I will never work with my dear friend again...

I had (and still have) to deal with this catastrophy. More than one week later I can find the strength again to work on my Wilkommen project.

An update will be posted asap.

Hi Guy, this is all superb work! There isn't really much to say, sometimes it is hard to distinguish your dio pics from reality, so i think that is compliment enough :-).

Congrats all so to keep such an intense bog, as myself am really not up to my task for sometime now.
Working every day on the dio, but nothing really eartshattering, a house, another roof, all well known things, so i am not motivated enough to sort through the pics and update everyone.

Well , enough said, congrats to you, Alexandre and Chas for keeping your Blogs alve.

Alexandre : thank you. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are, and how important good health is (far more important than money, a private swimming pool,...).

Claude : I appreciate your words a lot my friend. But I hope to see more of your work soon. Keep us updated, your projects are very valuable for Armorama.

Jan : bedankt man, doet plezier dat er zoveel mensen enige betrokkenheid tonen.

I still have to add tons of detail to the front section of the house :

A concrete ornament between two windows (thanks to the "Blockhaus-way", Carlos).
Made out of plastic tube, plastic card, tooth pick and putty.

Again... great work.
I just noticed the house on the right of "yours" on the example picture. Nice one to build, too Too bad only half that house is in the picture.
