It is really going to look like an old stone house, I like it I'm wondering how you're going to make an olive tree..

Chas, I havnt find it but I'll let you know be sure.
Thanks Wijnand, Frank and Martyn for your kind words.
Following is the way I use for the tiles.
I use light cardboard, but you can use heavy paper too. Just get a lighter cardboard than the one you use for house structure.
First make a grid on the leaf, then cut to get thin stripes.
The re-cut it till you get this nice stack of rectangles.
Now let's this cardboard takes shape on a cylinder to get this mediterranean looking round tiles. Time to glue!
Regards Gents.

Very nice work indeed.
Only allow me to make a correction about the tilling.
You should put a row of tiles upside down among two rows of tiles.I don't know if you understand me.
let me show you how:
the tiles as you have placed them:
(_(_(_(
(_(_(_(
The correct form should be like this:
(_(_(_(
)_)_)_)------>the row I am talking about
(_(_(_(
The row in the middle I have made, should be among and below yours, and all this to prevent water from falling inside the wooden roof.
Thank you and excuse for my correction post
Best regards,
Zisis Tsagarakis

Is this the result of being an inspiration for you ? Well Alexandre, in that case I'm not only flattered, but proud too ! You are doing a very realistic build and it makes me feel on vacation looking at it !
The roof tiles are magnificent ! What a topic this is ! G.

Salut Alexandre,
For some reason i missed this one! You did some great work here, this look absolutely convincing.
I'm glad to have another scratchbuilder onboard.
It surely is more fun as simply putting up a prebuild house!
Salut
Claude

Guy my friend, I'm so glad you like my work!
Claude, thanks for your comment, cause each time I see your work it gives me the boost I need. I'm proud of your thoughts on my work.
Seb thanks, I bring you new pics!
The house primed, need some other details (wiring, etc...) after painting.
I begun the paintwork on the door. (no this is not a tribute to Rolling Stones)
Hope you like gents.

Alexandre, that is some seriously good work there. I am really enjoying this thread.
Did you remember / find out the name of that thin wood you used for the door? (did I overlook what it is called in the thread?)
Cheers,
Bill.

Very Cool!
Excellent work Alexandre. I've been collecting figures and refernce photos for a similar build, but it's been on the back burner (so to speak) for some time. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like it, really realistic! Now only giving few stones other colours, a bit drybrushing and it will look splendid!

you should put an advertisement or a poster on one of the walls....or you could put the remains of a roman statue or column or some thing like that. make shure that if its a column., its a doric column, because this is grece.

Hello Gents,
Thanks all,
Bill, I can't find this wood, but I'm pretty sure it's "ramin".
Rudi, thanks for looking, I 'm lucky JB talk about my work..
On the following pics, you could see the almost finished stones, and the beginning of the roof. Hope you like. I add some wire, not painted yet.
Hope you like!
Cheers!
