In this pic is the fenders from Eduard tamiya spare track and grousers (the PS kit comes with upgraded one) the tow hooks are in two peices so I dicided to turn them up. I added chains and handles to these. the brass on the fender is for a reflecter.

The Finns added guards to their signal lights so I had to build some. The base is cut from brass tube and the guard is wire. The Hobby Boss moulded on light was cut of and replaced with the PS resin part.

One of these Leopard will be a dry mud setting and the other will be a snow setting so I'm looking for hints or tips on making snow. I have seen the Signifer product used but I was wondering if I could do it myself. any tips or links would be helpful.

I have the front detail of the Norwegian leopard almost done. I made track pads to replace the grousers. There misaligned purposely, as seen in pictures.
I made the mud guard workable by making a hinge.

Thanks Todd I might have to buy one of those. Just got word that Real Models is doing a upgrade kit with PE for the Hobby Boss 2A4 so I'm not sure how much longer the Revell kit will be the Leader.
The Hobby Boss kit is starting to win me over.
My guess is that Hobby Boss will copy the perfect Scale kit and repackage. you have to wonder why they sold all their kits off far below retailer's cost.

Can't wait. I subscribed to this one as well. I also sent you an email but I'm not sure if you received it. I came across a hobby boss leo 2A4 kit and will be building it in conjunction with my challenger. I have the perfect scale parts on the way as well

I just got a hobby boss Leopard 2A4 and it should be here next week. I am also going to get the Real Model update set but hoping to have it expedited to the United States so I can start work on both kits while I am home in Chicago. Does the Barrel Depot L44 gun fit the Hobby Boss 2A4

Chris,
I just remembered something, have you added the "curvy L" wire loop to the side of the two large fans on the engine deck? ALL Leo2s have them.
Cheers,
Lawrence

Thanks for the kind words - without my contributors' help, it wouldn't have been possible. Metallica songs? Where did you see those? I believe they were probably recently added, not sure if they were available back when the two sets were produced (WAYYYY back).
Cheers,
Lawrence

There are a lot of good close-up pics of the Finnish Leo 2A4FIN in the new Tankograd book ( review here ). You are doing a fine job so far, and have me itching to get started on a 2A4 myself. But I'll be using the CCLEE kit, which will be intersting, because it needs a lot of work...
Don't forget the anti slip on the side skirt hinges. The devil is in the detail...

You''ll enjoy the book. Did you get part one?
I've been playing around with the CCLEE kit, and to be honest, the more I do, the less I like the hull. I have come across some major fit issues, the wheels are very, very basic. I'm tempted to just use the turret, in a submerged situation.. . Or just camouflage the heck out of it.
Keep up the good work Chris

Just a quick 'in progress' shot. Been playing with this one for a few years now, I'll get there eventually..
