I agree, 1/700 is a great scale for ships and Tamiya does have a lot to offer in this scale. I'd even consider building one for this campaign.

I've signed up. I like the premise of this campaign as they've been around since before I was born. It's interesting to see the wide variety of kits out there too. I'm thinking of doing the German rocket launcher halftrack. 2011 coming already - wow

Gentlemen,
I am also in. As mentioned by many, my 'default' armor kits tend to be Tamiya first and Dragon, Trumpeteer, etc. second. The start time is perfect, as I have a couple other campaigns to get completed first. Now comes the toughest part, which kit to build out of the towering pile....hmmm.

I like it Gary! I think I have some more star graphics if you want a different star, just let me know

I can't imagine having any ribbon that's different. We gotta go with that one.

Yes, please. I kept playing with the star and it still doesn't look right!

Try this out Gary, you'll just need to resize it to 50% to fit your ribbon.

I uploaded a new picture of the ribbon. You might have to hit the refresh button on your browser to see it. The lower legs are a bit thicker.
I tried using the star image you uploaded but when I tried to resize it in Paint Shop Pro it looked pretty bad. Kind of like what happened to the Next Generation ribbon.

Curse the inflexibility of some programs!
The new stars look much better Gary! If you would like, I can edit the ribbon with my graphics program and put the other star in it, shouldn't be a problem. Either way it looks good

I'm in . . .
Nice looking campaign ribbon to boot!
Have a few Tamiya kits in the stash. I may just stick to building one of them straight out of the box. I remember seeing Verlinden's dioramas in the Tamiya catologe, that's what got me started in armor modeling. Oh, did someone say 'old people'
Happy New Year

I will join in too. Since I'm enrolled in a few others already, it will not be a big entry: Schwimmwage Typ 166 with some PE and a figgie.
That is, unless Tamiya decides to do a Type 10 within the year.
Please Mr. T, hurry up and give us one...

I'm for the type 10 too! I'd bet you could do a tough conversion with the Type 90!

I doubt it, from what I understand it is a completely new design (the hull not being an exact match with the type 90 one) so I'll just sit it out. The Sd.Kfz.1/20 typ 166 schwimmwagen is a-go anyway. Kit is in and so is the hauler PE. Will have to get some voyager kar98 clamps and hussar wheels.
Can we establish the last example of the campaign ribbon as final?

Hi Guys,
I was gonna go with 1 of Big T's older Pz IV kits but then I made a trade for this
http://store.spruebrothers.com/135-tamiya-king-tiger-sd-kfz-182-production-version-35164-p2114.aspx
It looks so cool I may have to roll with it. I think I got bitten by the Tiger bug along the way somewhere

Being a JGSDF enthusiast, I'd love to see Tamiya come out with a Type 10 but I want them to take their time. Too often model companies end up basing their kit on a prototype and not an actual production vehicle (or aircraft).
