Will do Jerry. It is simply a case of sending a word document with the text, and the pictures zipped up in name order to help the editor get them in the correct order on the feature. Bill Plunk's features are a good place to look for a guide on how to write a build feature

I will sincerely try to put together a build article. If I fail it will not be from lack of interest,but rather from computor ineptness!

Got the second horse about done. I think that I am improving on this unfamiliar subject. Hope so anyway. He is bothered by flies. The off side horses were rigged to ride in case they had to replace tired or wounded/dead horses.Their sturrips were hooked onto the saddle so they wouldn't bang against the horses side.

The main and tail are made from embroidery thread that I un-raveled. Hemp was too course.

Had to show the sculpting on this wonderful head by Alpine. My new favorite figure company. Figures rarely capture that late war starved look that afflicted the Wehrmacht but t his face does. There was also a lot of long hair goin on at that late date.

This looks really great! I like how you take your time to do it right.
I made one horse hair with fur, very difficult to control because it was so fine. Your method looks very very good also

Tom,
Sorry,no in progress pics of the thread. I just got regular embroidery thread from the hobby/sewing shop and picked the best color(they have dozens) Unravel the thred by strand and then cut to length. It takes time,I won't lie. I glued the thread to a piece of solder because the base of a horses tail is a thick stub(that is how they flick that thing)

Thanks for looking in and keeping an eye on things. I really wanted to have the main part of this done by now but life keeps getting in the way. Sometimes the breaks between working on this get so long that I feel like I''m starting from scratch when I get back on it.
But I am thankful to be able to keep working on my hobby and for all of your kind words here.
