I am definitely interseted. Always enjoy seeing younger modellers' work. Especially with that interior. I may have some spare parts for your model, including a metal barrell and pe. Let me know if you need any.

Thank you Matt. I'll let you know.

Here is a picture my Dad took of me painting the rubber of the wheels.

You are off to a good start young man. This was the first kit I purchased a little over two years ago upon returning to armor. I, unlike you, chickened out and waited for a year to build it.

It is a great kit, just pay attention to those pesky instructions.

In fairness to your dad Mason he will need to build twice as fast as you due to the number of parts in the kit he has chosen. I will not tell him if you don't.

I think he knows, but I'm not telling him that I know.

I got my certification and Washes, Fading and Oils DVD from my Next Generation Campaign. I'm excited, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from the DVD that will help this build.

Here are the road wheels after painting the rubber black. There are a few that need small parts touched up.

Thank you Stanley.

Dad and I were having some problems with the interior instructions and where the parts would fit in the hull exactly. He had even ordered a book on modeling the mk IV, but it didn't help.

Mason if you clarify what parts are causing you issues I am sure someone will be able to help.

We weren't sure where the interior blocks fit exactly. How far forward was the driver section to sit or how far back was the engine section to sit? Dad tried to track down technical drawings of the interior and still is so we can install electrical wiring too.

Here I am painting the transmission. I'm using my Dad's hull as an example.

I didn't realise you were using an external mix airbrush, a two stage internal mix airbrush will make a lot of differance to your control of paint application. It will of course require some practice.

What model would be the best? The airbrush that we use is an old one of my Dad's that he used to use for his work. We were using one of his shop airbrushes that looks like a gun and is really big for the primer, but stopped using it since I couldn't use it very good.

Wow, your work is head an shoulders above my work when I was your age. Actually it's probably better then mine was when I was twice your age.

It's really really great to see you doing this work with your Dad. My father-in-law has three kids (two boys and a girl, I married the girl in case you were wondering) and none of them took an interest in his hobby. I know he enjoys talking models and comparing work with me and I'm just a son-in-law.

Hats off to you and your Dad.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hi Mason
A proposal for the spray paint to a well-ventilated place. This is good for your health
