Looking good Mason, looking good.
Hey young man don't disparage that "scout stuff" that kept you away from this build. Both my boys are Eagles, and cherish the time spent earning that award. I spent 25 years as a scout leader in various capacities myself. Scout stuff, whether you know it or not, LOL, is making you a better more well rounded person.
There's plenty of time to build.
G
Thank you Sir!
I started on some of the crew members. As soon as my Dad can take the pictures, I'll post them.

The glacis plate, I think that's what it's called. I'm filling the little circles with putty.

Now I get to post for Mason!
Unfortunately, work and a family emergency got in the way of me getting to taking pictures. I did get these done over the course of a couple hours between shots.

Here is my driver and gunner that I plan to have hanging out the side of the turret. My Dad had ordered a Tamiya insignia decal set, so I could use the SS ones on my tank crew. It really was hard to get them in place. I haven't started on the commander, but at least I know what I'm doing with the insignia now. My Dad wasn't able to help me since he's been really busy with his work.

I am having trouble setting the top of the hull in place right. My Dad has offered some guidance. The interior detail kit in the problem. It is very frustrating. I watched my Dad place his hull top on the bottom part and it went on perfectly.

Folks, this has really been a struggle for Mason. He's glued and un-glued the top hull sections 4 different times and is going at it again. All I can do is encourage him to take a break, work a little on another area, come back to it, learn and understand that perseverance will result in what he's trying to accomplish.
Looking at it, the kit needed to be seriously altered to fit in conjunction with the Verlinden interior and driver that he has in the driver's seat. I am using the same interior, yet mine didn't need that amount of altering, which made me feel bad for Mason.

My Dad is going to take some pictures today. I think I'm making progress with the hull. It still will not sit the way I want it to, so I used some putty to fill some of the gaps.

I am assuming the interior is causing gaps? If so tape the two halves together and look through the openings to see exactly what is preventing the two halves joining cleanly. Once you identify the issue a little sanding will sort the problem for you. I also agree with your dad and suggest doing some work on the turret may help you get back into the groove. Sorry I have not checked in for a while Mason but I have just been snowed under with things that had to be got done.

Thank you Mr. Baker.
Here are the pictures my Dad took the other day. We have been having storms and flooding all around us. Our power keeps shutting down from the storms. I've been shut down several times trying to post these.

I was able to spray the inside of the turret with Dad's help. I painted the windows and put in the wires on top.

Here's my gun. The kit didn't have view finder or machine gun parts for the inside of the turret, so I used my Dad's kit parts as an example and made mine from small wood pieces. They don't look as good as the plastic pieces from my Dad's kit, but at least they will be in there.

Mason the doors and hatches on tanks are the same colour as the exterior so that they don't provide aiming points when open. Keep up the good work.

My apologies Mason, it never crossed my mind to intervene. Your Panzer is going to be Schwarzgrau, mine is going to be in DAK yellow coloring
