I'm starting my third model build with the Dragon Pz.Kpfw. IV F1 kit that I was awarded by MilVehFan as part of the Next Generation campaign.

I have that kit and it is one cool kit, youll love building it. The only thing i hate about it was cleaning all the road wheels up

Mason, I am going to watch you do your magic and continue to pick up the lessons you pass on to the old man!
Folks, Mason and I are going to "compete" against each other...I picked up the Dragon #6264 MkIV Ausf E. We are going to build side by side. He has chosen to build his out as an Eastern Front Mk IV while I chose a DAK version. I honestly expect to learn from him doing this. He's now on summer break from school and can commit to going through the forums for advancement tips which he promised to pass on to me some of these.
Mason, get ready to rock the old guy

Good luck with your build Mason and be sure to post plenty of in progress images. By all accounts this is one of the best engineered vehicles ever, so it should build nicely. I have it at home, but never got around to building it.

Mason .. I know you will enjoy building this model and i'm pretty sure your dad will enjoy building his ,,totally agree with Brian about cleaning the road wheels ,,mine needed alot of work so i cheated and replaced them with the Tristar 014 Panzer 4 wheel set ..then i could chop and change and make the tank look older or more abused ,,gives you alot of scope to ,,i got road wheels where the rubber tire has come off dew to its travels ..,,dont tell your dad but get a set (there cheap) that will help beat him real good

I guess that's what's happening. My Dad has been sticking the parts that weren't used in a box. The Tiger had a lot of parts that were doubled in the kit. They are in that box.

I had to ask since he has to order and pay. He looked around and he decided to order the same interior kit that he has so we are even and fair. He told me that he was going to consider it part of my good grades awards, but my Mom overruled him

Hi Mason;
This looks it will be interesting, I will follow this build competition. I am just finishing up the same kit., DAK version. The road wheels are a lot of work, there are so many to clean up. Other wise it goes together very well.

Mason a pair of side cutters (wire cutters) will make the removal of the parts quicker and easier for the most part.

Thank you! My Dad gave me a set to use on some of the resin parts for my tiger. I never thought to use them on the plastic parts.

Our family took a vacation, so my Dad and I fell behind. I got to this point before my Dad. It was fun picking on him for being slow to catch up.
My interior sections aren't glued in yet.
