Mason as a rule of thumb it is buy the best you can afford, however there is a review of three air brushes on Armorama 2 of which are expensive and one which is much more reasonable for those on a budget. The cheapest brush performed well against the others and sometimes outperformed. the airbrush is made by a british company who are the only retailer I believe. Here is a link.

Hi Mason
A proposal for the spray paint to a well-ventilated place. This is good for your health
Thank you.
We spray in my Dad's shop, which is big and has large ventilating fans. He used to make me use a mask, but as long as we are near the fans, no smell reaches me. He does make me wear the mask when I work on the resin parts.

Here are our two hulls together as they are right now. Mine has the red primer on the outside of the hull.

Thank you Brian!
I just spent the afternoon trying to catch up to my Dad. Using his build as a example, I got some of the copper wire work finished. Here are his pictures of my hull right now.

My Dad took these pictures earlier today of our two hulls. I am going to use his as an example to do the weathering of mine.

I was able to add the rust last night. I had to wait for Dad to take the pictures.

how have you done the rusting on mason, did you use pigments or the tamiya weathering stuff?

My Dad has a MIG pigment set. I used the light rust on mine, he used the dark rust so we can be different.

I am having trouble getting the side plates inline and attached as they should be
My Dad told me I needed to take them off and trim some of the inside connections. Since ours have the interiors, a section of the interior is stopping me from gluing them right.

I'm posting these for Mason since he's already gone to bed and asked for them to get posted. He accomplished getting the side "plates" on in better condition. He really hit the frustration wall with them. I think he had them on and off 3 different times until I made the suggestion that he needed to possibly trim some.
Since I didn't get to taking the pics until it was dark outside, I had to use lighting and flash to get close to daylight use.

I know. Cub scout stuff has me away from it. I really was mad that I couldn't get the side plates on right, he got past me while on those and out on the scout stuff.

Posting the latest side-by-side of our two hulls for Mason. His has the red oxide primer on the exterior of the hull.

Dad got these pictures this morning. I'm filling the circles in the plastic, I don't know what they are called. I noticed Dad didn't, so I pointed it out (lololol). The sun must have come some. It's cloudy with rain coming right now.

Looking good Mason, looking good.
Hey young man don't disparage that "scout stuff" that kept you away from this build. Both my boys are Eagles, and cherish the time spent earning that award. I spent 25 years as a scout leader in various capacities myself. Scout stuff, whether you know it or not, LOL, is making you a better more well rounded person.
There's plenty of time to build.
