Well, so far it has been smooth sailing....
Except for the fact that there are 2 completely different B Sprues (one for the Stug and one for the Panzer III), and a few part numbers that don't match reality. We won't talk about me not catching that one of the steps was drawn like the kit was on its top and I held the kit right side up.... things don't work real well that way.

I'm going to give this a go. It was actually a good feeling to put away all the AM I had bought for it - I will use that on a future Panther G instead! And I will also give my new airbrush a whirl.

Nice kit Jon,I build that for the recently completed OOB Campaign,it has lots of extras to make it nice.Just be careful of the fan housings,I had trouble lining them up with the openings on the rear deck, could just be me,but I thought I'd mention it.Looking forward to seeing your project

Due to a bad dose of shingles, progress on the firefly has been limited. The Dragon instructions are very unclear as to the rear of the tank. I must say they are not a patch on Tamiya. Anyway images or links hopefully attached.
Not looking forward to the track assembly!
@ Sal if the images don't appear could you do the necessary.
regards
Oldtimer

Considering the progress you are making while off your game, I can just imagine the scene when you are on your A Game. Model parts flying, a haze of glue and paint and 30 minutes later a finished model....
Looking good.... I have to agree with you about the kit instructions. Hopefully you don't have overlapping sprue letters.... I have 3 A's (2 different types) 2 B's and 2 D's from different kits. Definitely not a shake and bake...
Yep, the tracks worry me to.... I went from using the vinyl ones straight to Fruils and skipped Magic Tracks all together.
Keep up the progress...

Images look fine to me Martin . The gripe with Dragon instructions is an often heard one: you`d think they`d try to fix that. Still looking pretty good there. Better progress than me anyway
The following links run to primeportal. Get you some idea of what her hiney looks like.

Hi Benjamin,
Brilliant links many thanks I finally know where to 'stick' the tool boxes, so to speak.
Its great how these technical hitches can be sorted by other modelling colleagues.
Cheers

Tom: You may want to take a look at both Swash Design and Evolution Miniatures. Both resin stuff and not cheap, but good quality (especially Swash). Bound to be more stuff out there.
Benjamin, thanks for the leads. I found this at the LHS this weekend. The owner said that the maker, New World Miniatures, is out of business now. I'll try to keep the troops out of their seats until the end of the campaign so I don't get in trouble with Sal!!

Having access to good building refs is quite easy if you know where to look. Here`s a couple of very useful sites for us modelers.
The Battlefield at Primeportal has a good amount of walkarounds from all over the world. If you don`t favorite it, make sure you memorize the name
The Gallery at svsm.org Also has many good walkarounds of a great variety of machines both land- and airborne.
Toadman`s tank pictures Also offers some smaller size images. Chris has extensive walkarounds for sale on CD. Met him last year at a show in Cali and he`s an absolutely great guy.
Dishmodels is also a great resource. If it`s russian, odds are good that you`ll find a walkaround of it here.
Now as for the F2...Progress is slow but steady. I glued some hull pieces together to see what the hull tub would look like. Gotta admit I`m starting to like that boxy look of it.
Once it is ready to be glued together I`ll lay on a coat of black primer to make sure I don`t get any reflections. Might add a driver in an open hatch.
@ Tom: Yeah I forgot about them. New World Miniatures was run by Chris Mrosko but he pulled the plug recently. It was getting harder for him to keep it all running and he wanted put a full stop to things rather than spend some time muddying along and offering poor service. Too bad since the figures were pretty nice, He also did a nice set of LRDG crew for the Tamiya Chevy.
Good to see everyone is getting stuck in and serious with their builds

Hi all,
You know, as frustrating as the instructions can be (and compared to some they are very good) the kit is beautiful. I have 2 more sitting on the shelf above me and will definitely take advantage of them in the future. However, this particular build is moving on...
The fenders and rear deck are basically finished, the tools mounted for painting separately. The jack block had some very nice wood grain on the top, so I added my own on the sides. The end grain is just jabs with the tip of a No. 11. Hopefully it will come together when it painted.

Hey Guys, everyone is doing some great work an Benjamin is helping guys out with web links thats what campaigns are all about
I have been in a New York Giant frenzy that last few days with my G-Men winning the big game but I'm back with some progress myself
1st days work was road wheel lower hull
Wheel are hubs are just pressed on so they can come off later for painting
and what it looks like now
Found 2 errors with mislabeled part #s so far and its really difficult to tell how certain parts are to be applied
Keep up the great work guys

Here's some progress on my Dragon M7 Priest
The parts for the transmission
Somewhat neatly assembled into a transmission
The parts for the rear of the vehicle
And all the parts together
I will say that the earlier you can put the tow points on with the shackles, the easier it is!

Impressive modelling from you all.
@ Steph I am really looking forward to see how the Thunderbolt turns out.
Progress on the Firefly is moving along no thanks to poor instructions and misnumbered pieces.

@ Steph that is looking pretty amazing from where i'm sitting.
Errrrmmmm............ Gentlemen regarding tracks! Have anyone of you heard about the rare Firefly in the Normandy campaign that was trackless!!!
No thought not.
I'll stop belly aching and get on with it. But a kettenkraftrad would have seemed a more sensible choice on Feb 1st.

wow...those are a lot of pieces. Good tip for assembling the round areas is to use wood glue. As long as you don`t mess too much with them afterwards, they should sit nicely.

hello martin , this is easier it seems. Here the trail I was mounted on the armor of the Allied campaign. Right for the parties, I paste the links by pairs, and then I assemble these pairs etc. .. Curve for parties, I make the same assembly that Benjamin. Sorry for my english
