Basically ready for paint.... although I have to set up all the road wheels, etc. for painting.

Once everything is painted I will prep the tracks for the "fast" assembly method.

The Sherman tracks are coming out really nicely. However, I don't envy you guys all the end connectors. But I think that they will pay off for you in the end with really great looking track.

Geez Bob, you are going really fast! How much sleep a night do you actually get? 2-3?

Martin: little trick I saw first used by ProfessorP in his 761st TBn build. Useful for a.o. Panda Plastics tracks

Steph: Great progress. Gotta pity you guys for all those dull hours

Closed up the hull today. Coated the insides black since I`m thinking about a possible driver figure. Still some details that need to be stuck on there.

And with the turret on there...

Benjamin....

Well, to tell the truth being retired has a lot to do with it as the wife let's me play in my room most of the day. Spent a couple hours getting stuff ready for painting and I still have more to do.

Like the way your Panzer IV F2 is going. I have one about half done, that I totally screwed up brass fenders on. Need to dig it up and see about putting the kit fenders on it instead and then finishing it.

@Steph..... Nice build. The fenders are very nicely done. Very clean and they look the part. I know that PE is where I tend to have a lot of problems but you don't seem to have had any. Nicely detailed model... am waiting to see paint on it.

If you do decide to do a German tank from Dragon... I would say that some of the latest Panzer III and IV tanks are superb. The one I am building has the most detail I have ever seen in a model.

@Martin..... Thanks for the comment, I think part of the cleanness of the build is that I am almost out of Tamiya Extra Thin and am trying to stretch it.

Your building is nice and clean also. Although that might change when you start pulling your hair out with the track. While I am not a Sherman buff by any means, this build looks the part. However, I am sure that it will really come to life when you get the color on it.

Steph....

Well, you should know that the Panzer III and the vehicles build on its chassis, such as the Stug, are my favorite vehicles. So I might be slightly biased...

I am entering this campaign with The Dragon StuG III Ausf.G. It looks like it is a cool kit, so I expect a lot of this build.
I have not decided on the camo and markings yet, but there are some nice versions included in the kit.

I have to Finish up a Sherman for the Allied Armor campaign then it will be full speed ahead on this campaign. I love Dragon T-34's so I'll do one for this campaign.

Sal ,, I have the Dragon hunting tiger with Porsche suspension and the tracks still haunt me ,, it took nearly 12 hours to make both sides .the magic tracks are ten times easier and is i remember right they come in two bags , one for each side ..what i normally do if they done tell ya how many to use is this .
Build up a nice big section ,fit it to the model .then see how many more you need to build to complete the track , works rather well .
If i remember right there was something like 660 parts to the Porsche Hunting tiger lol
Your is looking very nice matey ..can't wait to see more

Cheers Rob. I actually think the kit fenders are very good: not a good as PE ones, but those are a pain in the you-know-what (as you probably know all to well ). The things that bug me are the front and rear end flaps: how to thin those down will be a nice hurdle :S

Martin, Steph, Sal: you guys are going at is! Good to see you having enough fun to keep going. As for me, I`m sort of stuck. Murphy wass toying with my tweezers again and I launced a lifting hook assembly into oblivion. There`s a chance I might be able to take a replacement out of a Jagdpanzer IV L/70, but it`s not exactly out of the box anymore

Benjamin...

I got the PE fenders together.... I just can't get them to hang onto the hull....

So, yeah, one of these days I will take a look at putting the kit fenders on it. Put a lot of work into that particular model both research and building stuff to make a certain vehicle. Which is why this OOB campaign is very relaxing....

@ Benjamin, I will make exception for parts that Murphy messed with
@ antonio, welcome to the campaign but your photos didn't post
@ Guy and David, welcome as well looking forward to seeing some progress
As far as my progress go my beast is all primed up and ready for the base coat of Tamiya XF-60, they really need to sell this stuff in a bigger bottles, and I still need to start on the track. They are in 2 bags as Phill stated but they are not listed as left and right side, just 2 different pieces

Martin...

The tracks really look good. Even though they may have been a pain I think that they really look good... even better they look like they could move. Now for some color....
