Nice build again Gary. No interior this time?
Look for some images with heavy stowage ... even the blast type sets .... I think the Staghound really suits be laden down!

Hi Frank,
No interior this time!

i realy like the blast models stowage set. much nicer looking than the legends set IMO, however i dont have the funds at this time to go for it.

im gona try and scratch up some tarps and bed rolls etc. maybe some neting and 30cal. ammo canisters.
I usually preshade all seams and welds and the like, but i just dont trust the vallejo primer at this time so i sprayed the entire kit with tamiya black. ill let it dry a couple days and work on a bit of stowage...and play BF3
heres a pic of it now

Thanks for looking!

Hi all,
well, i couldnt help myself. i went ahead and put the base color on. my nephew said he would order the legends stowage set for me and i can pay him later. ill probably scratch some things but now ill have some proper "stag" stuff. im going to depict the Polish 2nd Corps, Italy 1944. i mixed about 60/40 XF-60 dark yellow to XF-4 yellow green, thinned with yellow top laquer thinner. ill use XF-64 nato green for camo. heres a pic w/basecoat

ill post pics after camo is complete. thanks for looking!

Hi Gary,
This looks great, I am really impressed (as usual) with your models. I often forget to preshade,I spend so much time building my tanks that I dont get much of a chance to do a paint scheme.
Its going to look good when completed.

thanks

Hi DJ,
i have 2 airbrushes. i use an iwata eclipse hp cs as my work horse and an iwata high performance-b plus for camo. i free hand all my camo jobs. ive not built a kit that requires a hard edge camo however.
all i use in my airbrush is tamiya paints. with the exception of the vallejo primer experiment. the base coat and camo colors are described above w/approx. ratios. i do use vallejo model color and panzer ace colors for all tools, tarps, details etc.as well as my figuers.
Hey Jesse! Thanks man!

@BBD468 – Gary,
Excellent!

You’ve done an awesome job on the camouflage and choice of colors, it looks great and all done free hand to boot.
Keep it coming

Hi Gentlemen,
Eddy, DJ, Steven, and Peter. Thanks for the comments guys. very much appreciated!
DJ, it think Steven would agree the iwata is a great investment should you choose one. i wouldnt trade anything for mine. i hear the iwata revolution is a great airbrush aswell.

Hi Gary,
I'm liking the Staghound so far!
I don't know why but the camo reminds me of the style the Iraqis used on their T-55s. I guess things don't change that much.
As an aside, what's up with the highly organised paint pots? My paint box is really messy, fancy organising it for me? After all how far can Texas be from London?

Hey Steven! ill make a deal with you. ill come and organize your paintbox, your work bench, and clean your windows if you let me leave with one of those 1/16 king tigers.
if you agree, ill pack my bags and be on my way!
Thanks Roman!

Sure you can have the one on the far left. He is slightly bitey but I am sure that there will be plenty of space in Texas for this big cat to prowl.

Hi Gentlemen,
Eddy - Thanks man! its all about fun anyways...right!
Steven - well... i guess well have to work something out later as i already have the same make & model as the one on far left, just different camo job. got it from santa too!

Phil - i use super glue for my photoetch. theres a product called gatorglue that ive tried when i heared so many great things about it i bought 3 bottles. i cant get that stuff to hold anything, even tried all 3 bottles.

i just make sure that i lightly sand the photoetch (if possible) and make sure all sufaces are clean before superglueing.
well i got some goodies in the mail. thanks to my nephew i got the ledgends stowage set. i promise ill pay him back!

ive apllied the flatcoat and will begin oil panel fadeing and streaking soon.

Thank you gentlemen for your kind words and thanks for looking!

I've got the same stowage set in the mail somewhere, not for a Staghound, but for a couple different Brit things planned.
Looking good.
