The good thing about Legends resin, is that it relatively soft when compared to that from some other producers and clean up is quite fast. This should be stunning when loaded up. Nice camo Gary!!

Great build Gary and a impressive paint scheme
I have done some checking and my "Kingtiger's" disruptive black and white camo is superior to the Ninja camo of your little cat. It was an entirely scientific analysis I am sure you understand

Hi Jesse,
im not to good at explaining things but here goes. after primer dries i brush paint all deep creases and creveses and folds with black paint. then i airbrush the base color i want but still showing the dark areas a bit so it looks like basecolor shadows. i then mix a very thin kinda milky highlite color and the unload the brush of excess paint then lightly brush the high points and appropriate ares. i then go back and thin the base color 90% thinner 10% paint and lightly mist with airbrush enough to kinda tie every thing together. Whew!

hope that made sence.

hope thats helpfull Jesse!

For the drybrushing of highlights, are you using oils?
I think that last step is what I'm missing. What I like about yours is how well all the colors blend in together.

Base coat is Tamiya and brush painting is vallejo. i only use oils for washes, panel fadeing, and sreaks.

Check... what do you thin the Vallejo with? I was using some last night, and wasn't having the greatest success.
Speaking of... I need to snap a few photos and post up on my latest project.

Same here. I've got a couple of bottles of model color, but haven't done the air stuff yet.

Another success! You don't disappoint. The Staghound looks beautiful. I agree that the stowage is a step above. I'll have to try your technique. As is, I primer, basecoat, top coat, shade with appropriate color. The result, a reasonable excuse for stowage. But, like I said, your's is a step above.

Hi all,
man! i think doing the stowage is gonna take longer to complete than the kit did. but it will be worth the effort.

i guess i could speed it up a bit but i want to have fun, not to stress.
Thanks for looking guys!

@BBD468 - Gary,
Stowage is well painted and placed, looks convincing. This is turning out to be one heck of a great build. Keep it coming, I'm really enjoying watching this come together.

@BBD468 – Gary,
I’m going to have to look into getting one of the Legends stowage sets, they are so well detailed and once painted really look the part. Great tip on how you go about painting your stowage, I’m going to be trying your method on my current build. I’d be happy to have my stowage come out looking at least ¼ as good as yours.
Gary, thanks for the kudos on the Panzer IV I had going, I will be updating that build log again. I had wanted to do that a few months ago but there were already some ongoing Panzer IV build logs in the works so I thought I’d hold off for now and then I got involved with a build for the Panther Campaign, of which I’m currently bugged down with the photo-etch. Anyhow thanks for asking, I’ll PM you when I restart the Panzer IV again. BTW your taking some great close-up photographs.

ill be looking forward to your PM and your Pz.IV build. good luck on trying my method on your stowage. had to practice a bit before i got those results. heres a pic of the Legends set all laid out.

its a quality set!
