Good day all, and I plan on makeing a good looking SS-15 although information is shot of finding, but i will work with what I have.
First I recevied the box in the mail in the normal amount of time going through customs

after removeing the outer cover the box was wraped in a plastic film

opening the box was a load of packing

and then the parts baged or in bubble wrap

So enough of the parts lets build.

Sorry haveing computer issues, I have picked up something that hilighs a word and if you hit it it will display an add, so I swiched to w7 64 bit. Ok Starting with the wheels I had bought in time to get the Friulmodel wheel set and useing 5 minute expoxy them toghter along with the arm

nex was building a frame for the lower half of the tank to rest on and keep the wheels level, this was a lazer cut card board that I glued toghter with white glue

now it is time to install the wheeels and other parts to the side

Mofe to come later

Thanks
No the kit did not come with a missile, but I have enough information to make one, I can turn it on my lathe. It was a neat set up, when the rocket fired it shot up enough to clear the launch tube then the rocker motors fired. ther were 6 rings that kept the rocket strraight in the tube and as the rocket gained altitude they fell away.
here is a like to the fireing its in the last 5 minutes of the video http://only-paper.ru/forum/84-6992-29
So enjoy
and thanks for watching there will be more tomorrow

Good day all
I installed all the wheels and I think I will make a jig like Panzershop did. It made installing a breeze.
I am useing 5 min epoxy I am tired of super glue breaking off by just bumping it. It takes a little longer but the results are good.

more tomorrow

Small update, finished the drive train and am working on the tracks, there is alot:

there are a couple of crooked wheels but if the tracks straightn them out then a little heat will work

I am haveing to much fun on this one, but tomorrow my grand kids are staying for the day and night, thats when the real fun starts. just got done drilling out the last tracks. I would like to hear how others build their tracks. I kinda came up with a system that works good with me, but there is always room to learn a new way. Also I will take a picture of the drill I use, you may be surprised.
Night all

Micheal
Thank you for the film, I have to go back and see if I can freeze frame the Left side. This was an interesting time in the world. I would not have wanted to be near this launcher as to many parts come flying off durning launch

This build is simply amazing. I have only one comment (Jim, You probably know about this issue), resin models are quite heavy, and on a warm summer day, the suspension arms can deform and the model sits down (Legend Merkava in my case).

Good point. I keep my finished kits in my office in 2 glass cabnets, so heat for me is not an issue, but I think I will put 2 stands under the model and fasten to a piece of Oak board. This is going to be a heavy model with the launch tube and I also plan on makeing a resin missle.

I need to ask a question on all who are watching, what direction do the tracks go? if you look at the tread one side is flat and the other side has a ridge to grab the ground, so if going forward would you want the ridge to be on the back ? does that make scinc?

Started the cab today and running into fit issues with the cab and the rear deck, so hopefully will have them done tomorrow.

Also had a lot of cutting and clean up of parts. The instructions at times are diffucult to read, basicelly you have 1 picture of the parts, then a picture of the assembled area. another area of concern is the fenders and the rear deck alignment. Ill sleap on it tonight and hit it hard tomorrow
