Good luck finding a more detailed CF-100; the only available options are the Hobbycrap 1/72 or 1/48 kits, which are nearly as detailed as that one. The larger scales make scratchuilding the extra details a little more easy, but that's the only good thing.
Constructive criticism for you: When you're doing the de-icing boots, paint them first, mask them off with masking tape, trim the tape to the shape of the boots and then paint the silver over top. This will make nice crisp edges with straight lines.

Thanks for the tip Jessie, I appreciate it, especially coming from you as a staff member.

So guys, with only 5 days left until this campaign is scheduled to end and there are only 4 of 37 builds featured in the gallery, I'm going to see about getting an extension. As many who said they were in have yet to post anything, and I would like to give those who are near completion a chance to finish.

You mean that I've been panicking about getting the 104 finished for nothing?
Yellow ought to be going on soon in any case, extension or not.

I would love an extension, even if its just an extra 2 weeks, it's been super hard to find bench time lately and almost done with the centurion, I hope the extension happens.

Thanks for the extension - every weekend in November was a hunting weekend! Not much bench time at all.

It does look good enough to eat, Jessie. I believe it has some tiger coming out soon, though.
The Typhoon is entirely painted. Since these photos were taken, it is also clear-coated, awaiting decals.
I've lost the kit exhaust stubs, and have no replacement. So I've decided to borrow a pair from a Spitfire IX. They'll look funny, but, will work. This will allow it to be finished for the campaign.

I've completed repair work on the decals, and have painted the wing walks. Now its time to move ahead with the weathering.
A new pair resin AM exhaust will soon be ordered up(thanks Jessie), to replace the lost ones. Unlikely they'll be here before the campaigns end. So I'll temporarily set in the Spitfire fakes for now.

geez where did November disappear to??? I had planned to have mine finished in record time and then it was December.
Progress so far -
Primed the model with alclad black primer.
I then airbrushed alclad aluminium and different metal tones before airbrushing Vallejo paints onto the wings and anti glare panel.
I then sprayed gloss (micro gloss) over the model and attached the decals from (Leading Edge - Highly recommended. They didn't come off in the water even after prolonged exposure and settled on the model really well.) I have sprayed gloss over the decals and will now focus on the panel lines - sorry about the quality of the photos
Thanks for the added time. I need it!

Looks like the new Airfix kit builds into a nice model, James. Well done so far.

Thanks everyone.
I used to stay clear of Airfix but the new tooling is pretty amazing. I've made a 1/72 Spitfire Mk1 and just purchased a number of other 1/72 planes. As long as you get the new tooled Airfix kits I would highly recommend them again.
I sealed the decals with gloss and then covered with pro modellers wash.
It looks like a mess but it cleans up very well
Good thing about photos is you pick up on spots you missed.
Just the propeller and canopy to go!
Question for my Canadian friends. How weathered did these mustangs get? I would assume they would have been more symbolic but can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks

James, all in all, I think the RCAF Mustangs were kept up very well. Some light exhaust stain and the odd smudge is about all. Even retirement photos show clean aircraft.
