Sal,
Quick question. What constitutes a steel wheeled tank? I know the Panthers and various Tigers qualify. What about the Panzer IV variants like a Brummbar that has the front half of its wheels as steel wheels? I'm assuming steel return rollers, like those on a later StuG and Panzer 4, don't qualify. And a T34, does it have to be all steel wheels or can it be mixed?
Alex, No rubber wheels, so if it has half rubber and half steel its no good
T-34's or any other tank needs to have all steel wheels
Hope that helps

Opinions are like certain other body parts, everybody's got one. I'm no different so here goes.
As it has been explained to me I now must say that I feel the Steel Wheels campaign to be a totally different animal than the proposed Raildoad campaign. I would suggest they be separated. I can't see a Panther with steel wheels being judged against a Br-52 locomotive???
Also I think the badge as designed would be better for the Railroad campaign. For Steel Wheels perhaps some sort of stylized close combat metal superimposed over the silhouette of a Panther or Tiger 1.
Again just one more man's opinion.

Michael,
Please check my original post on this tread. This campaigns original intention is to be part 2 of the Military Railroad Campaign that ran last year however I felt if we opened it up a bit to include all steel wheeled machinery we would have more participation. Similar to the Big Cats campaign were you have F-4 Wild Cats, Tigers and Panthers being build because the are all a type of feline we will hopefully have a full array of equipment that will include Railroad and other vehicles that have Steel Wheels
I would also love to see some of those projects that got started during the Military Railroad Campaign completed here as well so it is sort of like a Get Ar Done or a really long extension for the Military Railroad Campaign. and ther is no judging here just some fun building
As for the ribbon, which I'm not good at making, Brent graciously designed us a ribbon and John was helpful in shrinking it down to ribbon size and posting it on the campaign page
So I hope you plan to join us with a railroad build or maybe a flat car with a Steel wheeled Tiger on it

Hang in there Michael as I will resurrect the Railroad Campaign idea after the first of the year as I have
PLENTY of new ideas and like you, feel these two should be separated.
I at least want to build a period correct Locomotive and a fighting car following it. And some day... a Leopold too.
(sorry Sal, didn't mean to hi-jack your thread

Hi Sal,
I'm going for a initial version, prototype version maybe Panzer grey.
The Italeri's is quite an old kit, I don't like the gun so I'm planning on either scratch a Brummbar gun on it or an E-50 gun. Depends on what I can find in the spare box.

Nice Progress John looking forward to seeing more
I got the trucks assembled and installed
Its about 15 inches long, I think Kimmo started building this kit for the Military Railroad Campaign a couldn't get past all the pin marks, no I see what he meant
For the price there is quite a bit of them but so far they are all unseen
Some of the figures that will be used
