Your Chally looks amazing, I think your got the perfect weathering

Your kit is right there side by side with the real deal.

Congrats on another great one !

Thanks John
and yes, not the slightest bit of photo editing. Just a piece of x-mas wrapping paper, from the rear side and my daylight lamp and the ceiling spots. No need to explain the digi signature
everyone can check that.

Quoted TextLooks good John, have you done the tracks yet?
Not yet Guy.
Did you glued the fenders already ?
You might have some problems putting the tracks on.. if the idler wheel is fixed.
What kind of tracks did your kit came with ? DS or Magic ones ?
John. this one has magic tracks. Fenders are glued, but I won't glue the outer road wheels or outer return rollers until I have the tracks on. Done a bunch of the Dragon PZ III's and Stug III's this way without issues.

I added some chipping and scratches too. I'm having fun without the tracks so far.
Tomorrow I'll start assembling Magic Tracks.

looking good John. Did you use the decals for the turret numbers or paint them?

John,
Compared to the Sd.Kfz.7 and Sd.Kfz.10 kits I've built, these MagicTracks are a piece of cake — goes quickly. Have fun.
Note: I'm not dissing Dragon; I actually like MagicTracks ... once I get them done!

Decals and Micro Set before putting them on and Micro Sol over the decal.

Tried to construct a base on the weekend, carpenters would be horrified but it ended up not too bad. Need to bog some of the joins and maybe stain or paint the wood. I figure if I paint it black, it should cover most of the evils
Made the raised sections out of styrofoam and then added plaster of paris over the top, to which I added some oxide pigment. Mix wasn't quite right so it took the best part of 3 days to be dry enough to touch and it settled a lot so the styrofoam is more obvious than I would have liked... but I think when I add some rocks and shrubbery I can disguise it so it won't be so noticable.
Photo of the base as it currently stands
Test fit with the tank and figures

Thanks Paul.
I still need some work with the fenders & equipment.
But with the turret and 90% of the hull done, I feel like entering the Olympic Stadium and seeing the finish line
I won't use the Afrika Korps figures.

Hi John,
Very good job. Also I like the chipping job, very realistic, not so heavy, and it is consistent with DAK tanks painted sand yellow on initial pz.grau.
I'm following...

Giovanni

Hello all, more updates
Barriers and bench in place.
I decided to modify the canvas.
I have painted the camouflage scheme with Tamiya instructions because Italeri give only one option of paint: a tan vehicle wwith green armors.
Rebuilt the M6 pedestal and his patform
