Finally got some time to upload recent pics. Took off the fenders and the engine grills for the PE to come later. Also roughed up the armor plate with some extra thin cement and then green stuff on the gun mantle.

Wanted to fix the missing area above the tracks so cut some plastic sheet to fit in there and around the engine grills.

The resin AM barrel is wider than the kit one so I'll need to widen the opening on the mantle to make that fit snug.

Making some good progress on the PE bits, still have to tackle the fenders with the soldering iron.
Taking longer than I had hoped but soon I expect to have all this details and sub-assemblies worked out and then on to assembling the major parts.

Work on the interior of 1 small turret and Main turret under way. I will leave hatches open on both of these as well so a little more scratch building is required.

Here is my contribution to the Campaign:
1/35 Tamiya SU-85 with numerous aftermarket products to update the kit. I started working on the build in January, and due to a busy work schedule, did not complete it until just last week. This build was the first time I extensively used any PE (From Voyager)

This was my first build using a lot of mud, which was a lot of fun. I wanted to depict an SU that participated in Operation Bagration, and wanted to capture the exhausted AFV and crew from a hard pressed offensive.

Added the small PE on the gun.
After checking some photos I noticed that the muzzle needed some texture so Mr.Surfacer was near by ...

Dear all,

I wrote a build-review (sometime to be published on Armorama) of the Ostmodels SU-100Y. The model is still not completely finished (and the start date was January, anyway). I hope it counts, even if it was an experimental tank/assault gun.

OK I pretty much finished the Small turret. I added view ports, Binoc case and a Manual turret gear box. Add of course a bottle of Vodka made from clear sprue with printed laserjet label and a image of his girl on the back bulkhead

The Main turret has View ports added, Radio equipment and monitors, Electric/Manual turret drive, gun mask and elevating mechanism, open breach, some packs and of course more Vodka and a Lenin book for reading pleasure. I added a Loader/radio op seat but the shells have not been added yet still making the center ammo rack.

Season's Greetings to All!

My entry to this group build is a 1/76 JS-2 Model made by Fujimi:

I actually started with my build on 23-Dec but did not made my posting until today.

My progress to-date:

This build will be OOB but except for adding a plastic plate to cover the cavity of the Upper Hull.

It's been some time since I've last posted an update on my 1/76th scale JS-2 Build build. Slowly but surely, I'm moving to completion:

Opted to complete the lower hull first and now progressing on the upper hull and turret. Target is to complete all assemblies by this week and get it painted in two-weeks time.
