Finally, everything minus the tools and fuel tanks glued down and ready for priming/painting.
Looking at painting the running wheels and wanted to know if you guys keep the sides running along the track steel or green or some combination of both?

So are we still looking at the 15th or is there an extension in the works?
I can probably make it if I work on it every night but it would be great to pace myself!

I guess no one else needs an extension, huh?
Oh well, I'll still finish the kit just not in time.

Hey Marcos!
I haven't seen Greg on here since last month. I guess I could ask John about the extension but don't want to go over Gregs head on this matter.

Okay, now I know why I've been blowing off getting back on this build. The roadwheels need to be assembled kind like the old motorized Tamiya kits with a polly cap in-between the 2 halves.
I don't like this as they are not going to 'spin' and it's not an old motorized kit either. Then there are the multiple points that need to be sanded smooth. Two sprue connections should have been enough! LOL
The halves are keyed and after a half a day of yard work fiddling with them was a real pain! Sorry for the out of focus pic!

More extension? Great, now I absolutely must finish that beast on my workbench finally... No new pics right now but here's what has happened so far:
-kit completely painted. Check!
-high lightened by dry brushing. Check!
-gloss finish made. Check!
-started pin wash today. Check!
Next step for tomorrow is continue pin washes and maybe do some streak grime with AK products. Thennn....., if all goes well, matt finish and pigments. Tracks have been ready for two years (friuls), they just need dust pigments and some metal finish for ground contact places.

Soviet Medium Tank T-28 finished.

Some lovely builds in this campaign, including Lap Man's T-28 above.
I just realised that I never posted final pics of my T-34 that I finished months ago. I did intend to add a small snowy base, but I moved onto other projects, and haven't had much time for modelling lately, so it never got done.
So I'm calling it finished. Its the Dragon 1/72 T-34/76 and I'm real happy with the job I've done on it. You know how sometimes you finish a model and you're not really happy with it? Not with this one

Very nice BT-7!!
Okay, this is all I have so far and plan to do a WHOLE lot more tomorrow... my day off!
I had to do some re-adjusting on the suspension as once the wheels were installed, some didn't line up.
And I guess I have to go with the kits barrel and brake. The RB piece has you soldering the PE on. I don't have the correct solder nor the time.
It will get used on the next JS/IS tank!
Oh yeah, and special thanks to my wife for finding the OH-JESUS part I lost that's part of the rear hull. I couldn't see it but she walked right up and found it. I also lost one of the periscope covers so I must make that.

OK, Long May so far.......
But on a good note, I have finished the T-28 Build.
He are the images of the completed build. I have not finished the Base or figures as you will see. But even if I do not in time the TANK is done!
The small dio will be spring 1939, White wash wearing off and tank needing minor repair on side of road.
The figures are Trumpeter and pieces and parts mostly cut to fit where I need them.

Calling this one done. Quite a learning experience for me.
Thanks again for the extension, it was a huge help to not bail out on this one. Great work from everyone, really inspiring!
