I want a short-finish Tiger. I try Zvezda's 1/72 for the first time.

I am trying to figure out if my tiger II would have those anti-fragment shields on it's rear deck. It is a hypothetical build for it has a 105 as its main gun. Suggestions? Thanks

Some more progress, main model is ready for the rest of the primer
and I have started on the Eduard PE fenders, they are a kit in themselves! Lots of detail to test my patience.

Assembly is basically done. I'm putting the painting on hold until I am ready to paint the Leo 2 (Unfinished Business Campaign).
I have to admit, I enjoyed this build and like the way the vehicle is turning out. Like a lot of Revell kits, it has its share of engineered in quirks.

Got the base Dunkelgelb on and my air compressor crapped out, can't do the camo I wanted so guess I'll work on the tracks until I can get a new one...

it's a pretty solid kit, I wouldn't hesitate to buy and build another one again in the future. For $44.00 and having the ability and option to build 2 versions, and the full interior and turret, I think it's a good deal!
With that said, my only complaint is at the front of the tank they have you install this front interior bulkhead support piece, and it really throws the fitment off of the top hull, hence in the assembly pictures, you can see my gray line of tamiya body filler. There's no need for the part to be in there.
Once I glued it in there, and couldn't get the top hull to fit, I realized what I had done, and I was already committed, other then that, pretty smooth sailing.

Nice work G. I had seen this kit and just always assumed it was a rebox of the old Italeri Tiger. Maybe I missed it but what kind of tracks does the kit have? Rubber band or length & link?

Great looking Tiger there. It's a shame manufacturers let their kits down with stiff vinyl tracks, they look almost as stiff as on the Academy Tigers.

An excellent weathering job, a great representation of a well weathered Tiger I.
On a side note have a voyager update set for the screens for my Tiger II. The screens covers closest to the turret at what radius do I bend them? The raised screens.

thanks for all the kind words you guys, I made some tracks in the snow after I took the pics, so no it is no longer "floating" that's just a standard 12 by 12 ceramic tile so not a whole lot of room to really work with.
The tracks for this kit are all vinyl indeed, they are two piece though.
This was my first time using clear coat and micro sol. I'm pretty happy with the turn out
