If you haven't done the tow cables yet be careful. Voyager don't give you much spare for reverse mounting.

Andy, thanks for info. Luckily I have many tow cables in different sizes (Karaya, Artwox Model)
Otherwise I've not yet finished the cables, just drilled out the towing eyes and I started to build tracks. I purchased this AFV Club workable tracks, but I regretted it. Friul is better.

I don't really want to point up flaws in your model, but since you're posting while you work, I hope you won't mind.

I think you put the headlights too far outboard. They were mounted to be the same distance apart as on a normal Tiger.

With regards to the painting, you may want to read about colours on Africa Tigers.

Some items on the tank could be painted in a light, pinkish colour that really stands out.

Thanks very much!

David, as for the painting, I would like to do this paint scheme. The '111' Tiger may have been like this?
I found this pic in the book "Panzers in North Africa".

I have to be a little suspicious of artists' rendering of Tigers when they get some physical details wrong. Tiger 111 didn't have the standard turret bin, extended hull front or standard track toolbox.

As for the colours, "olive green" (presumably captured American paint?) over "dark yellow" (Dunkelgelb?) is not only wrong, it's obviously not present in photos.

Tiger 111, I think, was painted just as I suggested. RAL 7008 and RAL 8000 in a low-contrast sprayed pattern. Photos show the track toolbox and exhaust shields in a light colour; this should be RAL 8020.

Regrettably we don't have good photos of the front and right of "111" so we can't say whether it had a painted name or not.

Hi all!
Here is today's progress. I've not yet glued the tools and towing cables, these are just positioned.
Bending the shape of the cables was a real "fun"!

Hi all!
Finally the side fenders got to their place and I have shaped the track cable. This was the last part of the PE work.

The people at Bovington did a pretty good reconstruction of these colours; they had Doyle and Jentz to help.

There are plenty of photos around. RAL7008 is the green.

Darren: I think that the Gunze H66 Sandy brown is similar to this color. Or not? I meant the base color.

Andy:
Anyway, up to now I neglected the Tiger's build because of this attempt. This T-34 is a waste because it has been dropped from 2.5 m height. I did not want throw away, glued again the broken parts and got "some" rust. Even though I do not know that in which theme I'm going to use (maybe a very late- or post-war diorama)
(And sorry for off-topic pictures.)

OK, one little question; why are the Feifel tubes a darker colour?
