@Mike-Thanks for noticing those little bits brother. I try to make up for my less than steller painting by providing some hints of what the real guys actually have to do when on the "2 way rifle range". Thank goodness for Hornet heads though!!

Thanks for the kind word about my guys. Hey man..jump in and get going! You will have a lot of fun if you keep an open mind and not over-critique yourself too much.
Best thing is to get someone to pose in the way you want to make your fig. Take a quick picture and then try to mach that pose in 1/35. Makes it much easier that way.

Totally agree with Jerry! Get a model (no, not Germany's Top Model by HK!!) and have him adopt the pose! It's the first test as well.....I mean if he can actually adopt it without killing himself!!!
Apart from that get as many pics of the real thing as you can get and try to copy reality.
It's like copying a rust surface....you see a real rusty piece....and you try to replicate what you see!
Not easier,....but also not harder!!!

Thanks Guys for motivating me, I´m doing 1:35 figs for 3 years now, and just fully realized last month that nothing (really nothing) is in one single coulor... that was a really big step ahead in painting...
and now thanks to you guys I´ve seen that you can do even more... especially such "simple" modifications as the open ammo pounch...
I´ve already tried it it on an older ICM figure... sadly though he became just a "mag changer" aswell
I still have to do some frankenstein work on his arm and the puches... but right now it´s still looking better han before
But I´ve got some more ambitious plans, maybe something like this?

Not able to get much done in the last few days due to my eyes. Got this guy almost ready to paint though.
I see my camera makes his upper body look bigger for some reason. Hmmmm..
I added his ammo pouch(behind his right arm) and the report case. Filled in the dings on his left arm and made a sling for the MP40.
Still need to add some stress folds to his left sleeve I think.

It´s some vaiant of an Bavarian/franconian dialect, which would be in english something like this:

@Jeff-yeah,you guys get that lake effect snow. My girlfriend hails from Erie and reminds me all the time about how us easterners are wimps in the snow.
@Mike-House insurance assessor can't get here until friday at the earliest. Lots of roofs are collapsing. You got it right,thank goodness people or pets were not underneath that!
We shoveled what had to be about one ton of heavy snow off the back portion yesterday and the suspension on my car is still all the way compressed!! I don't know if either car will be drivable but we do have insurance on the house and both cars. We got our rentals yesterday so retired the LPCs for now.

General winter is a real jerk sometimes! That sucks Jerry, like Mike said though, glad nobody was in there. Getting the same stuff here in MA as well. My grandmothers roof is leaking and caving in. I've been out with the roof rake a lot as well. Tons of fun in the New Englandd weinter! Hope you get all that sorted out. Wish you the best, sir.

And we got another 3 inches of snow last night! More expected later this week followed by rain this weekend. Ground is frozen @20 inches so there will be nowhere for the snowmelt to soak into. So obviously flooding is predicted.
STILL better than Saudi,Iraq or Afgan though. FOR SURE!!!
