Weird, thought I posted this question already but I've got a Panther A with a turret sort of %50 done or so that I used for zimmerit practice. Wondering if that would be acceptable? If not no worries, I love finding excuses to buy tanks

Bob and Jeff
Count me in as somebody else who will happily talk Panthers any time.
Whichever one of you who was asking about red oxide based paint finish on BoB Panthers, you might like to read the article written by two learned gents over on Missing Lynx - http://www.missing-lynx.com/panzer_facts.htm
Regards

What about Panther Coelian or F? Are they acceptable for this campaign?

Operational Overview
"Each member participating in this campaign must build a Panther tank, prototype, paper panzer... as long as it has something to do with the WWII German Panther tank. So a Jagdpanther, E50, etc. will work too."

I had not thought about an E50. I might do that.

I still need to "put my E-50 together" from the 'Paper Panzers' Campaign.

The E-50 is a great kit.
I liked it a lot.
I still have a E-75, but will be used for another one.
Either a Dragon's Panther II or a ICM Bergepanther.
Plenty of time to choose, change my mind and choose again.
I've already ran the Panther Alley with a G,D, A and F versions I can tell you that Dragon's F version is one of the best kits I did, details, extras, metal gun, perfect fitting.
I also liked the D w/Zimm version too.

Yeah, the Trumpeter E-50 was a blast and a breeze to build (and not too deep for the wallet either) but mine is still laying there, painted but needing to be assembled.
It WAS part of the Paper Panzer Campaign I took over, but... you know. Things.
I need some AM tracks for it and or sprockets as I don't want to us the kits super-wide King Tiger tracks. LOL

John, If I cannot get a E50, I'm looking at the Revell rebox of the ICM Bergepanther.

I completely agree, fun kit, pretty easy on the wallet sometimes going for less than $30 on sale at squadron, builds up fun and fast and looks like a panther..riiighhhht up until..
Pics of my build from paper panzers. I think I got a silver at AMPS East/Armor con w this one. This or the E-25, I dont remember.

If I had it to do over again I would leave the KT style tow and track cables off the sides and do Panther suite tools.

The tracks really change things, but for me it was the skirts. No skirts=panther-ish. Skirts=KT
Again, in a do-over I'd do Panther skirts and fenders with Panther tools. Would probably do the red brown dots/spots and carry it over the primer as well. It's pretty much a candycane at this point.

I believe their idea was to make a smaller AFV with King Tiger capabilities. I left EVERYTHING off the side, including the skirts and the light on the front glacis.
I do plan to install some smaller width tracks, like either transports or even Panther combat tracks.
The kits tracks are just too wide for what I want it to look like.
(oh BTW... that sure looks good Mike!)

Having 2 ICM panther's in stash and a Dragon's Panther II.
I'll pick the Dragon for this one.
The bergepanther ICM will be for the Engineering the Future Campaign. If I make it...
Again too many Campaigns

That's what I also plan to enter John, is a Panther II. Going to do some kit bashing and use the Real Model turret, Friul tracks, aluminum barrel PLUS a Tamiya and Dragon kit.
I think...

Guys, hope this isn't a deal breaker for some but I had Oz, err I mean John add the following to the rules for this Campaign:
6.All builds entered must show WIP pictures along the way. This is highly required.
I didn't want to assume anything but you know how some people are... it's a given to follow this M.O.O. (method of operation) for ALL Campaigns but we thought it had better be spelled out.
Looking forward to seeing some Panthers being built.
