Yeah, I always thought having to post WIP pics was a given in a campaign or group build. Otherwise what's the point? Are there really folks out there who post photos of the untouched contents of a kit and then a few months later show a "Ta-dah!" completed model? Are there cheaters amongst us earning ribbons with already-built-kits? Bad form!!
What about LOP (Lack of Progress) pics?
I'm good for those, as is evidenced by my miniscule amount of campaign ribbons for a 10+ year Kitmaker veteran, and the number of 'Hangar Queen' and 'Unfinished Business' campaign entries I've had!

It happens sometimes, 1 photo of the opened box with sprues and later on a finished kit.

I know by now in the almost 10 years I have been here I have more kits that were not finished in time than those I received ribbons for. Most of the time I enlisted in too many at one time, but I figure maybe a few of them I'll run into trouble with so at least I tried.

I'm sorry, it's not a Panther at all. It has a Schmalturm turret that the Panther F was to have but it's still a Panzer IV chassis.
The same would apply if there was a tank with a Panther turret and on a another German chassis.
Neither can be accepted.

Well, we're only 7 days into September, but I look at it like it's 23 or 24 days away from the start here!
Guys I am working like crazy to get my air brush up and running this month. I know, I know... I am so behind and feel really bad that I have been operating this way, having it for over 3 years. LOL
It may not be 100% the way I want it but I really need it for some up coming Campaigns.

I must apologize first if I sounded like I was having a problem with it. It's a Paasche brand and the REAL problem is I've had it for so long but never have used it.
Just not enough days in the week I guess, but we getting there soon.

Ordered DML's old, WWII 60th Anniversary 'Early-Mid Jagdpanther. (I think it comes with spares to make a Befels.) 
Couldn't find a Coelian anywhere except Amazon third-party sellers who want an arm-and-a-leg, and then some.
A bit disappointed about that.

But, as I am not made of money... I shop around and buy the stuff wherever I can get it cheapest, pretty much (I do have a soft spot for a couple specific LHS, however, which upsets this uber-plan! ).
My EB strategy? I Hold my nose as I wade in! We've all had to go into and do things which assault our senses and scar our psyche!
It's that or wait until some e-store puts it on sale.

This is exactly why eBay gets a bad rap. People really don't know how to search for things on there.
The end result of your search is totally dependent on how the seller LISTED it. So you might do the right thing... all good and well, but if the attempt isn't made to change the title of the search a few different ways you may never find what you're looking for!
Also, Accurate Armor make a great turret kit for the Coelian that you may sit on top ANY Panther chassis you want. I sat mine atop a D chassis just like the WWII prototype images around the Net. It's the "correct" chassis to use but sine DRAGON released a Coelian kit utilizing the G chassis I will allow that too, but there's no REAL photographic evidence it was ever used.

I had never even thought about what model chassis the DML kit used. It's WWII, and German, Dragon couldn't possibly screw that one up.
I think I have a mostly built D sitting on a shelf; if not there's nothing wrong with having spare Panther bits.

Not to hijack the thread or anything like - but, yes, the evilbay does appear to have some bad rap. And unjustly so, I believe. It's a good tool in the box for us modelers.I've bought perhaps 1000 things - that's right, a thou! - on the EB. Automobiles (2!), books, clothing, furniture, foods, (real maple syrup which costs an arm and a leg in shops...!), microscopes, technology, tools, and oodles of "toys" (mostly plastic model kits - most of my rather largish stash...
), to list a bit, through BIN and auctions. Out of all this stuff, I've had perhaps one real fail - and even that worked out half OK in the end. There is a LOT of good stuff there, and often at very good prices -just have to learn to dig and search around and have some patience.What is actually really useful to modelers about evilbay is not just the opportunity to sometimes buy stuff cheaper, but its actually really good access to what may be "out there on the street" to buy - somewhere. When the "Armor" pages alone list over 62000 items, you can get a great look at what's available. I use the EB to help guide my searches through regular shop web-sites and ID stuff I might want to look into at shops.
Things like the mentioned AM Coelian turret are a case in point; I often learn that there actually ARE such things by seeing them first in EB lists!

PS: That ex-Panther crane is the bomb! Talk about opportunistic use of war surplus! Does look like they (wisely, I might suggest) trimmed off some of the excess weight - like the front hull glacis armor - while nicely keeping the Panther form! Cool!
