Looks great. Just saw the film yesterday and I highly recommend it.

Curious about something: in the previews and still photos released over the last few months, it was pretty obvious that the tank is camouflage painted (with black over OD). Why did you choose not to depict this (or did you just not notice)?

Oh great to hear, it comes out here in Aus in 5 days. I think I will be seeing it multiple times on the big screen.

I did notice the black, I decided to to paint it on as personally the plain olive drab symbolises the U.S ARMY. I think the black would have been a field mod, which not all tanks would have applied, remembering the M4A3E8 was thrown into the battle very late in the war when the Allies were on a push into Germany was moving so rapidly.

True, but in the 2d Armored Division in NWE, even late, finding a tank without the black is tough. Either way, you have done a great job with this. When you see the film, you'll find the tank is even dirtier, but I think you've done great with the tank and terrain/mud/water. Great job!

Cheers Robert. Yeah I didn't want to hide all the decals lol. But thanks, feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Saw the film last night!
Some of the scenes are spectacularly realistic, for example, following the AP tracer going into the woodline and also watching the trees got blown away and knocked down by the HE rounds as they try to take out a very well cammo'ed AT gun.
Some things just can't get translated on a movie screen though, like getting a nice interval between tanks,or using fire and movement, hull down positions, etc. Charging at a Tiger across an open field? Suicidally brave or stupid, take your pic.
If you take the restrictions imposed by making a viable movie with a grain of salt and concentrate on the realism and accuracy in many scenes this is an awesome, enjoyable movie.
If you spoil your experience like many of us modeling geeks do by counting rivets then you will,as usual,be disappointed.
As a combat veteran and career NCO much in this movie rang true. Leadership in war is something the armchair player will never understand and the coolest scene in the movie for me was the old NCO coming back from a bad skirmish and seeing his old buddies from the other platoons still alive. All units in that war had that core of older guys that made it through the whole thing, watching their numbers get smaller each week. Very realistic.

Very nice work on your dio.
You just need a gas mask under that helmet now.

And someone please teach Brad Pitt how to charge a .50.

There was that! Needs to be underhanded and double snap! Maybe they thought what he did looked better for the camera? It could be that simple, believe me.

So I just went to see FURY. Best movie, quite accurate. Felt like I was there, great camera work.

My dio came to life there for a brief moment, had a look at it when I got home. Easily the best work I've ever done, and the 2nd place at the expo reiterates that

Hi lefanatik, yeah the movie is the best tank movie of its km and. Regarding the kit, the best one from.my personal experience is the tasks/asuka kit. Tamiya have purchased the moulds for this kit. So either the tamiya m4a3e8 or the original tasca M4a3e8. Regarding the tracks I didn't bother purchasing another set as I was going to muddy them up as seen. bravo-6 have just relesed a full set of figures of the crew, very accurately I must admit. For the logs on the side real ones can be used or purchase a resin set. The stowage is from various kits and suppliers. Do your research to determine which scene you with to display as well as what stowage. Good luck.keep me updated. Cheers, nick
