large modifications to the turret were necessary, the front of the turret was extended to take the larger gun, and huge thick slabs of passive chobham armour, were fitted, behind these plates, concrete was poured, to create almost intpenatrable turret armour. large recoil cylinders had to be fitted to the turret roof, to counteract the increased recoil forces of the larger gun.

Sweet... sweet! Can't wait to see this one! :-)

(which mossad had stolen plans for years before)

Hehehehehe! :-)

Animal: As per your query, where ever you prefer it to be. :-) Looks nasty. First time I saw the pic, I was reminded of GunTruck's BMD. Probably because of the skirts.

Howdy fellas,

to animal: Superb work as usual there animal! It looks like you came by my house and took all of my Evergreen sheet stock though! Geeeez, between you and I, I think we should invest in Evergreen company stock so we can see some pay-off on our dividends!
Looking good....I do however question the 'Alaskan' setting for your LAV/CSV. With the obviously added weight of the additional armour plating, plus the rather low, low height of the skirts themselves.....I'm not sure if a snowy region would be the 'optimal' setting for such a beast. I live in Colorado, so I unfortunately know snow.
Something to think about
Actually, I'm pretty sure the OPFOR guys wouldn't mind the CSV there at all!

to greatbrit: I really like your entry! Looks nasty and ALL business! What size was that gun again? In the pics it looks like about 190mm!

to GIB: How are your entries coming? And yeah, I know, I know.....I need to finish up my storyline to add to the 'whole'.

Howdy animal,

There are quite a few 'Theatre's' that the T2K universe participate's in. Just click the link that our good member keenan was so kind to provide us back on Page #3 of this thread (at least on my listings) near the bottom of the page. It shows both the listing of 'Theatre's' and the cover art of the T2K line of books.

My War Wagon 'Elvis' is being portrayed in the 'Red Star / Lone Star' Campaign which essentially takes place in the deserts and arid regions of the SouthWest united States. Your LAV/CSV would fit in very nicely there. My storyline also revolve's arounding Convoy Escort adventure's along the barren stretch's of Interstate highway seperating most major surviving cities of the Southwestern States. Your configuration on the LAV would serve you well under those parameters......heck, you can even protect the Water trucks!

Tread: I've sworn off doing models until the end of this semester. That means I'm out from the British/Commonwealth and Op. Abrams ID campaigns/group builds.

GreatBrit: Can't see the pic. Takes forever to download (I'm still in dial-up hell). Perhaps on Tuesday when I can get broadband at a nearby cafe. Looking forward to the pic you posted.

Believe me GIB, she looks great! I still say she's packin' a 190mm!

Tread.

Oh, and if you look at the first picture of greatbrit's wonderful tank, the reflection from the bottle in the background makes it look like she's just fired a round and the barrel is smokin'

hehe, i never noticed that, good job i forgot to move that vase then!

its definately 120mm, now you can see why cheiftans/challys have more powerful guns than abrams, much higher muzzle velocity!

its still got loads of things to be added, i gave it a spray of green to hide the different materials used, you couldnt see much before, it just looked like a mass of green, white and grey plastic!

cheers

Hmmm, "a mass of green, white and grey plastic"......kinda sounds like my 'Elvis'. Only it was, Tan, dark tan, green, light green, white, biege & grey plastic, light blue, dark grey, and light beige resin, white metal, white paper card stock, and light beige balsa wood, darker beige Basswood, and a dash of gap-filling CA glue!
Your green coloured 'clothes' look just dandy greatbrit!

GreatBrit: No wonder I can't see it. It's a BMP file. Any way you can convert it to JPEG?

Tread: Well, semester ends on March. After that, I'll have 2 full months of vacation.

Is the City of Angels Theater being used for T2K04?
