Howdy Dave,
Glad to hear someone's listening I should have known you'd pipe in, since you've done so much work already for the T2K......I just didn't want the Campaign to completely flatten out, what with ONLY a month to go............
As to pics of my T2K Hummer, I can post pics but they will be of the base (un-T2K'd) Humvee. I am at the point right now where I'm on the fence about precisely what changes I will be adding.
In fact, since I have a trusted ear like yourself listening, allow me to run a couple of things by ya....do you mind?
The kit I based it off of is the Tammy M1046 Humvee kit. The one with the TOW turret position. I'm not planning on using the TOW setup because I'm trying to depict a more highly mobile, and more aggressively nimble setup like the SAS desert jeep rigs in WW II. That is, with at least a little LRDG 'long term' outfitting going on.
I have the kit built up to the point of putting the roof and side doors on. I am hesitating on doing either of these things because I am trying to mentally design the layout. I really like the 'outrigger' style MG pintle's you see on the modern day Spec Op. Hummers. But I'm still not sure about that. I'm also thinking about scratchbuilding a complete rollbar setup. Again, not sure. I do like the idea of standoff 'bar' armour on the windshield and doors potentially and eliminating the glass all-around ala the SAS......
Input??
Tread.
Oops!.....almost forgot. I think I completely missed your final CSV entry animal. I know we talked about you joining up with the Texas 'Lone Star' Team. (or maybe it was another one of my brain synapse mis-firings again), but I think I missed the final shots. MAN!........I really like it.
For those of you who may have missed it .........resized and resubmitted for everyone's viewing pleasure......

Also, any word on getting the ribbons for '03 out?
I will be back...with my T-72 ROBAT soon. And maybe a nice surprise!

Tread: Very nice. Me likes that project you got.
TW2K.... hmmmmmmmm....
Well, "Stalin's Hammer" of TW2K:03 (the only one that was completed) has been damaged, thanks to our cat. The rest of the TW2K entries have been relegated to the shelf, unfinished, what with my being airbrush-impaired (stupid stupid stupid me broke it by being over-enthusiastic in cleaning it).
I'll try to finish the M1 uber-tank before January 1. The original paint scheme I had in mind (black with red tiger stripes) is now out of the window, to be replaced with the usual 3-color NATO scheme, but the green given a white-wash for winter camo. I re-constructed the mantlet mount twin-.50s with better looking guns. Thinking of where to put the ammo of the twin-.50s (inside? on turret externally mounted cans with the ammo belts 'flaring out' in a dramatic way?).
And yes, my imagination has dried up with regard to the stories part. Again, if anyone wants the latest, please email me at ATomasCTT (at) gmail (dot) com and wait for a week (sorry HastyP for the delay - I'll still have to install OpenOffice to convert the file into PDF format).
