OK, first piccy available of my entry in progress http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=2525

GIB, why don't you see Indonesia being a major conventional military player? What if they were re-armed by the Soviets at the same time as N Korea? '99 was the year President Suharto bowed to pressure and called elections after 30 odd years of rule. What if he decided to cling to power General Galtieri style by launching a popular war? Anti-government protesters could also then be rounded up in the name of national security (I shoulda been a tin-pot dictator, hehe ).

erm not exactly, a combination, of girlfriend, mother, and myself!

ive been spending a lot of money lately buying a lot of kits/aftermarket etc. my stash is getting rather large. my girlfriend and mother(i still live with the folks) complain a lot, and my wallet doesnt like it either. so i decided to stop buying them for a while, at least until i build some of the ones ive already got!

about indonesia, arent they mainly armed with british made kit, hawk jets, CVRt's etc?

cheers

Ok, I'm going to try this again, unfortunately reality interferred with my model building shortly after T2K '03 got off the ground. I'll be building my Sgt. York "death from below" and set it in a diorama. I've started scratch building fire engines (except the cabs) which will give me an excuse to buy the 1/32 Mack pumper and Chevy police car set. The Mack will become 5242 (with a little modification) one of the engines I started my career with and that cop car will make good foder for a technical, I also noticed at walmat that there are some decent looking 1/32 die cast quads and motorcycles which are calling my name as well for laying around in the background.

I'm thinking of using the Sgt York as part of a perimeter defence with some vehicles leaving for or returning from a patrol. This should provide me with a chance to work on dio skills, a little scratch building and some figures.

I'll try to come up with a little background story for the camp as I get things rolling.

BTW what are the '04 dates, I couldn't find the details.

The details are the same. The names have been changed to protect the innocent! #:-)

The dates are simple: 01/01/04 to 12/31/04. The rules - the same. The details - the same. The expected outcome - the same.

Is a 1946 'Paper Panzer' also allowed? I'm building a drastically changed E-100 now, it would be cool if I could enter it.

Hehe I must admit, I haven't done ANY TW2K project hehehe. Concentrating my very short free time on my entries for our Nationals (due this September/October this year). What they are, it's a seeeeeeeeeeekret (considering many here are my fellow countrymen and they'll be joining the Nationals, too plus I want to surprise them hehehehe).

I currently have 3 projects on hold, due to an unexpected move.
One Guntruck, and two aircraft.
I should have the aircraft done this weekend or next.
The guntruck is still wanting on my troops to liberate some weapons from the Squadron and Great Models Motorpool.

I've got my T2K: 2004 projects underway - even while wrapping up my NBC News Project and participating in the Sci-Fi and Abrams group builds. The T2K Thread MUST regain its dominance in postings gentlemen!

Well my Tornado is progressing slowly but surely Bang seats are done and I'm working on the payload now and a few other little bits. Its a big kit with a lot of parts so it will probly take me a few months to finish it though......

Still, I shall endouver to spam er I mean post here as often as possible to keep the thread alive

As for kits to build, well I got ideas for a dozen or more, and the time to build 1 or 2!

I too have been busy...trying to keep things happy on the other end of hte computer screen and all.

i am just starting to finish up my TU-22M that I started oh so many years ago. Also, I have a Nice T-72 ROBAT and a Trumpter T-55, as well as a BTZ-3 (BMP-1 refueler), a BMP-2 early, and a BTR-T.

I think the first kit to be done will be the BTZ-3

and keep the thread count up! #:-)

Is there a "top secret" file for T2KIV? I like the "Incoming" folder for journal keeping and such, but, I can't find one for this.

Well then, my "Incoming!" and T2K-IV entries are coincidentally, the same. As they apply to both. I will say now that Modern railarmor will patrol the American rail corridors in the main 48 states and that is what I'm modeling. A railcar armed with an M 109 turret and an M 1 turret on the other side. It will be scaled at 1/160th ( N-Scale) and mostly Scratchbuilt and Kitbashed. I have a few pix in My Gallery to get a feel of what I'm doing. The pictures now are of a rail mounted missile platform. Check it out. More coming soon on it's own thread!
