Now that this new wonder tank successfully survived a parade (with some uh-oh drama), anyone want to comment on which company will be first to deliver this thing in kit form ? I'll start - Takom (Miniart was my 1st but given the current events, I picked otherwise)

Cheers

Hi Everyone;

Well Lets See !!! Its Going to be A Hot Race, but I think that Trumpeter, then Meng, and coming in Third is A Coin Toss. However I Dont Think that We Will See it in kit form any Time Soon. Also it will most likey come out in Micro Machine Format First, and lets Not Forget Zvesda as they mite Have A Spy in the Zavod !!!!

CHEERS; MIKE.

I'd say the usual ones too. Trumpy, Meng and Zvezda.

In my opinion it would be better if the modelling companies waited a bit. The whole turret is covered with thin sheet metal, which even seems to be obstructing some openings. I seriously doubt that an actual operational tank is going to look like this.

The concaept of a remote turret was very popular in the past. Several nations thought about it but none realized it so far. One advantage is that the hull front can be massively armored, think about a meter or so of composite armor. That why they claim that the tank is "indestructible" But time will tell how good the concept is.

Well anyhow attacking a tank on its front is not the best way to destroy it. The sides are more vulnerable not to speak of the rear. Any well trained antitank gunner knows this.
And if you consider the new type of top attack ammunition available, there is less chance to survive than in the "good old days".

I find the sight of destroyed Russian built tanks always unnerving. With the Armata it is nice to see that the bigwigs finally started to care a little about the lives of their soldiers.

Is there a link for this? My Russian is not that good.
I just read that the T-14 will get a new 152 mm main gun in the future. Maybe Trumpeter should wait a while?
Cheers
