Hi Paul, I was surprised how it turned out. I'm a big fan of Rick Lawler's work. My results just mean that Rick Lawler shared his technique well enough for me to emulate it.

I would like to try this in 1/35 but I just don't have space. My eyes are also not that great now, the Optivisor really helped!

I was in the process of building the Geschutzwagen Tiger Grille 21/210 for this campaign, however, it suffered a catastrophic accident that forced me to scrap it. I have built the E-10 kit instead, and aside from a metal barrel it was OOB.



Wow, Shawn! Bad news! What happened there? Get left in the car on a sunny day?

Jesper and Mark - It was exposed to a lot of heat will being shipped in the mail. I built it while overseas and mailed it home...the mailman didn't break anything, just melted it.

Really sucks. Guess if you were downrange it kind of makes sense though. Almost looks like it could be made into some sort of caricature build...

Bet it was in a container on top of the container ship in the sun. I hear those containers can be crazily hot.

Well long time between updates sorry , my last one was back on page 5. Finished my Abrams earlier today.

Overall build was a little problematic. The upper deck wouldn't sit right on the hull with a slight alignment issues where they join at the rear. One of the rubber band tracks snapped and one of the link and length tracks was one too short.

Paint and weathering wise? I need more rust tones, my problem not the kits overall for the cost of the kit $13 aud, I'm happy with the result as it was just a practice run in Abrams weathering before I paint my RFM and Meng versions

Andrew, very nice Abrams. I build the same kit and had the same for problem with top and bottom hull.

Cool to have both a NATO and desert camo Abrams in this campaign.

Jesper, nice to know it wasn't just me . Would of been easier if I hadn't already had most of the painting done before mating top and bottom. Your Abrams looks great as well, nice mix of clean and dirty.

Nice progress, I like the design of this truck, I didn't know it.

The VCI looks nice and will be cool after painting process.

Personally I never liked the Hetzer/E-10/E-25 designs but yours might change my mind Shawn. I'll also agree with Tat, great paint/camo totally possible for a Panzer '46 what if

To One and All,
Well, I am calling the 1/72 T-34 done. The tracks were VERY short. I finally warmed and then stretched and stapled them, since glue would not hold at all. I may doctor up the tracks a little more to conceal the staple job, but for now - it is done.

A couple of photos are in the Campaign Gallery, but here they are for your viewing pleasure!





Now to complete my Pz.38t for the Back to Basics Campaign, then a brief respite before diving into a couple more!

Paul, it never got off the paper as with others in the E-series -- E25, E50, E75. Except for the E100 which advanced to a stage where an assembled lower hull with suspension and road wheels was discovered by war's end. It is said that the E-series were never meant to be realized as full AFVs as the intent was to study and develop new suspension designs thus the full AFV you see kitted, e.g. the E10, may be deemed as a what-if of a what-if.
