Hello guys,
Again...sorry for not posting recently. Life has been busy. But....having said that I have managed to get some work done.
I started to install the upper hull and quickly realized that it was not fitting properly. Sat and looked it over for quite a while. I found that the hold downs for the batteries were getting in the way. Checked with the superstructure sitting on top and found you will not be able to see them once it is installed......so off they came. The hull is fitting much better now.
Also got the bins and cross beam installed in the superstructure......

I am a fan of that chipping line along the lower hull where the treads would run.

Thanks,
I have seen this happen on construction equipment like dozers and excavators.

Evening guys,
Looking to hear your opinions....
I have come to the point of painting the hull. I am torn between doing a tri-colour scheme or just a straight dark yellow...
HELP!! lol

Personal preference! I would say that I think a mono tone scheme would be a better palette for weathering perhaps?

Morning all,
Well...the superstructure is glued down now. I was out and about to some of my local hobby shops and managed to find a few tools and such for the bins...

I also added the thin lip that goes around the driving compartment...

more to come.....

Was at an IPMS show this weekend and one guy used some actual cast metal tools in 1/35th on his diorama. Could not find the source however. Does anyone know who might be offering these beautiful and very three dimensional scale tools?

Nice work done from the last post. I also like those tools you found, they really have the proper "heft".

This is a really exceptional looking build so far. I hope you go with a 43-44 camo pattern for it.

Hey guys,
Just a small update....I picked up MasterClub resin tracks for the berg. Also a friend lent me Mig's Heavy Mud, Splash effects and nature effects so I can start on weathering of the lower chassis and road wheels.....
